We bought a ground floor unit so that, should we run into mobility issues as we age, we wanted to still be able to easily access our home. When we bought here we did a complete, from the floor to ceiling, remodel. We designed it as our home, not a rental unit. It was built with all of the amenities and comforts one would expect in the US. It's our home, complete with pictures of family on the walls. We request that you treat it as you would your home. It's our first time renting our home. We're going back to the states for the holidays and the birth of a grandchild. We decided to make it available for others to enjoy while we were away. The complex is amazingly maintained by full time staff. There is also a full time property manager on-site. Additionally we have our own property manager who also lives onsite that will be available for any issues you may encounter. We will provide their name and contact information in case you need them. She will greet you when you arrive. Most of the units are owner occupied. It's a quiet place, as they say here - tranquilo. You couldn't ask for a better spot to unwind from daily life and enjoy the sunny and warm tropical beach weather. Say goodbye to the cold and snow and hello to your winter tan.. It's a gated community, we have never felt unsafe here, never.. The gate guards are here 24/7 and will happily call you a cab to anywhere you want to go. 100 yards down the street on the corner where the road ends there is a mangrove swamp. We bring lettuce and fruit down there and feed the wild iguanas. There can be as many as100 of them climbing down from the trees to come eat. They are so accustomed to people feeding them that some will eat directly from your hands. If you are lucky there will be a 3 meter crocodile at the water's edge with his nose on the bank. For the period of time we will have our home available there are many baby turtle releases on the beach across the street. Sport fishing is a popular pastime with many dorada tuna, sailfish and marlin caught daily. We will leave contact information of some good captains on the kitchen bar for you to read. With all of the wildlife around here we call it a "National Geographic Special". One of the things we really enjoy. Within a 5 minute walk are many different restaurants. We will have a list of them and recommendations waiting for you upon your arrival. This will include restaurants and activities around Zihuatanejo that we enjoy. We love the pool. It's larger than most that are found in Zihua. There is a covered seating area with tables and chairs with fans overhead and lights for when it gets dark. It closes at 10 PM. There is a list of pool area rules posted in the seating area. We'll also have a copy of them on the kitchen bar for you to read. There are chaise lounges on either end of the pool to facilitate your winter tanning.
