Welcome to Dovedale South! This is the winter home recently renovated for my mother, who is going back to Dovedale farm in West Virginia. House is located close (but not too close) to the beltline, so getting anywhere in the triangle is a snap! THE HOUSE •Split Level home 1900 sq. feet, with around 1250 sq. feet remodeled two years ago. The basement remodel was completed in the past year. House has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. •Main floor is open layout, lots of great space especially with the walkout basement. •High Speed Wi-Fi throughout •Basement contains Washer and Dryer •Upper two floors all refinished hardwood and new tile, basement has carpet tile. •Central Heating and air conditioning •Large corner lot with fully fenced yard (nice peace of mind if you have children traveling with you). •Off street parking, plus additional parking on the street •Edible landscape… blue berries bushes, thornless blackberries, (peach tree and fig likely won't produce this year, but should have nice blooms), and a garden (nothing like a fresh vine ripened tomato!). So depending on the time of year you stay this is a big plus! THE KITCHEN •New Kitchen! •Granite Counters/ New Cabinets •New Stainless Steel Appliance (Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Microwave, Stove) •Equipment to really cook (if you want to)… mixer, toaster, blender, pots, pans, bakeware, etc... •Keurig Coffee maker with K-cups •Nice breakfast bar with 2 comfy bar stools •Open to dining room, Dining room table is Amish Built beauty that expands to seat 10 comfortably (although we only have 6 chairs at the house currently… if more than 6 guests we can make more chairs available) THE LIVING ROOM •Open layout so dining room and living room are open together, and partially open to kitchen •Two 55 in.TV,s Xbox, Stereo, DVD/Blu Ray Player… equipped with hi definition MOHU antenna for all the local channels, plus Netflix. •Games, DVDs , CDs •3 recliners (2 powered in leather couch, and one stand-alone recliner) for kicking back when done with hiking around the Capital City. •Nicely lit with large window, can lights and ceiling fan THE BEDROOMS •Mom has a thing about getting top of the line beds... so enjoy a great night's sleep •Master Bedroom: Cool Gel Memory Foam mattress, TV with MOHU antenna, good sized closet, dresser and attaches to a cozy master bathroom (master bathroom has shower, and single vanity) •2nd Bedroom: Cool Gel Memory Foam mattress, good sized closet, desk/all in one printer •3rd Bedroom: Individually wrapped innerspring mattress (so one partner can sleep while the other practices tumbling on the other side), with Cool Gel pillow top, good sized closet, dresser •Ceiling fans in all bedrooms •Air mattress available or extra guests (just let us know in advance if this is needed) IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS •Raleigh is a great place to live and play. I hope to make your trip as stress free as possible •Let us know why you are coming to town and what can be done to make your stay great (i.e. if you traveling with children let us know their ages, so we can ensure age appropriate games/movies/books are available…or your favorite reasonable snack, or milk in the fridge). •Although I am available to answer your questions, a house manual is provided to figure out how the remote works, getting the WI-FI password, the house phone number, accessing Netflix, or the closest grocery store •Traveling from overseas and don't want to use your cell phone because of the expense? The house is equipped with Voice over IP… so you can get messages and call around (North America is all free, but overseas calls cost a little… so an honor jar with Vonage price sheet will be provided). •Weird check in time… no problem. House is equipped with combination key pad. Each guest gets their own combination for their stay (this code is erased at the end of each stay), so there is no key exchanges. Great for security, and convenient. •K-Cups, Hot Chocolate, basic cooking essentials (oil, sugar, etc…) are in the kitchen •Have a few phone chargers available for use •Feel the need to grill? We have an outside electric grill for your use (couldn't rent for 4th of July otherwise, that would be just Un-American ). •Need a hair dryer, forgot a toothbrush or razor? They are available •Yep, even have an umbrella for your use in case it rains. Listing is for whole house and yard. Access to shed is prohibited (that's where I keep the building supplies for future house projects). I am always running around doing something, so interaction with guests will be somewhat limited in person, but I will always available by phone/text. Also, I live only about 15 minutes away, so in the event of an emergency, I can be there in a jiffy. Would like to welcome you when you arrive and show you the features of the house, but if you have an irregular check in time, the house is set up with a keypad, so you don't need to have me there for key access. My wife and I are big fans of the area, and although I am not a native she is... so we can definitely help on recommendations on events/attractions in the area. •Quiet neighborhood with homes built in the 1960s (i.e. nice sized lots, lots of ranches and split level homes, and large trees) •This end of the neighborhood doesn't have any through traffic, so popular with walkers, kids playing in street •Close to everything… get to the beltline in 2 minutes so everything in the triangle is accessible (10 min. to downtown, 10 minutes to mall, 5 min to restaurants, 20 minutes to RTP/Airport) One of the greatest things about this house is its location to several major roads... Capital Blvd. and I-440 (inner beltline to the locals) is less than 2 minutes from the house, so getting around is a breeze. Downtown is 10 minutes away. Airport and RTP is about 20 minutes via I-440. For Stays of 30 days or more a lease is required. The lease is simplified as Airbnb handles the payment and deposit.
