Lake Ida is the perfect place to boat, fish, jet ski, wakeboard, paddle board or kayak. The University of Florida is about 35 minutes away making this a great and reasonable accommodation if visiting for sporting events or family visiting college students at UF. If planning to bring a boat, in addition to lake Ida, the St. John’s River is nearby. The St. John’s is a prime fishing destination, has several places to anchor and swim, and several restaurants you can dock and dine at.
