Modern studio with valley views

Escape to our peaceful open-plan studio nestled in the quiet township of Bellbrae, where views of the coastal hinterland create a picturesque backdrop for your stay. Ideal for couples or a small family, this retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort and nature. The relaxed pace of the Surf Coast is reflected in our comfortable, inviting studio. You'll love the fireplace to keep you cosy, our outdoor space for enjoying morning coffees, plus the firepit to watch sunsets over the valley. The space The peaceful township of Bellbrae is located far from hectic summer crowds, yet easily close enough to enjoy that pace if you wish. The vibrant towns of Torquay and Anglesea are 10 minutes away (in opposite directions). Our property is only minutes from the stunning Bells Beach and Point Addis beaches, and a great base from which to explore the iconic Great Ocean Road. Some of Australia’s best surfing, hiking and beaches are only minutes’ drive away. If you’re a music lover, you’re in close proximity to venues such as Mt Duneed Winery (Day On The Green), Torquay Hotel and Torquay Common for iconic Australian and international music events throughout the year. PROPERTY HIGHLIGHTS The studio is fully self-contained and private. It features a spacious queen bed for a restful night’s sleep, along with a well-equipped kitchen to create your favourite meals. You'll also have a fold-down couch which can accommodate a third adult or two young children. A porta cot also available for infants at no charge. Step outside under the verandah and soak in the fresh air, surrounded by the beautiful veggie gardens and friendly chickens, or have a beer after a day in the sun around the firepit. It’s a tranquil spot to unwind with your morning coffee or enjoy the sun setting over the coastal hinterland outlook. COMFORT FEATURES Our open-plan studio contains high-end furnishings, fittings and bedding giving you a luxe yet relaxed experience. We’ve done our best to plan year-round comfort for you. The fireplace ensures you’ll be comfortable and warm all winter, whilst the space remains cool in the summer. There is a split system for air conditioning and additional heating. There are plenty of throw blankets if you wish to warm up whilst sitting outside or on the couch. You’ll immediate relax upon entering this space. The studio contains a full kitchen, including a fridge, oven and induction stovetop, fridge, Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother. Should you need/want other cooking items (i.e. a toasted sandwich maker, Soda Stream etc), we’re happy to provide these. The kitchen is stocked with coffee (Nespresso pods, grounds and instant), tea bags (black and herbal), hot chocolate, sugar, honey, UHT milk, olive oil, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar and apple cider vinegar. We’ve built a dedicated work desk, but we’re certain you’ll love working from either the kitchen table or verandah with their sweeping views. The internet connection is great too for those who need to be online whilst visiting. The verandah is the perfect spot for your morning coffee, any meal or just to chill in the evenings with a drink. Listening to all the incredible local birds who visit, including our resident kookaburras, cockatoos and magpies, is truly special. You can open up the screen doors to listen to it from your bed too. We’ve got a BBQ for guests to use also. At night, before the sun goes down, you can light a fire in the nearby firepit and take in all the views across Spring Creek Valley (subject to weather conditions and fire restrictions). We provide ample firewood for the firepit and fireplace. Other small features we’ve considered include the warmest, fluffiest towels, a picnic blanket and basket for your use, as well as anything you might need for your little ones (porta cot, change mat, highchair, cutlery, serving ware, games and toys). OUR SURROUNDING Our small township of Bellbrae is a sleepy part of the Surf Coast with a few dozen homes in our area, large farms and lots of native bush. Every day we’re blessed to have an abundant variety of native birds pass over our property. As you enter through the wooden gates of our hobby farm, you’ll notice our fruit tree orchard, and at the back of our property nearer the studio, we have an extensive vegetable garden which you’re welcome to walk through and spend time in. We also have chickens which are contained away from the studio but close enough to view. IMPORTANT TO KNOW We have a two-night minimum for bookings. If you are looking for a single evening, please enquire as we can sometimes accommodate this. Linen for the fold-down couch is only provided upon request. Please make note of this when booking. Parking is available right by the studio (two cars can be accommodated). Check-in is from 2pm. Check-out by 10am. We will happily accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs with some notice if we are able to do so; please ask. Strictly no pets. Strictly no smoking or vaping inside the studio (permissible outside). Strictly no parties or guests. Guest access Our studio is located towards the back of our property. It faces outwards over the valley so you won't be interrupted by our family’s flow and movements. Entry to the property is via our main gates that we also use. Whilst you’re welcome to enter and enjoy the vegetable patch near the studio, we ask that guests not walk through any of the property located before the studio.
