The space Sweet as Sugar is a newly renovated, 1 bedroom condo at the heart of Sugar Mountain. We've worked hard to design a space that is cozy, but doesn't skimp on amenities! Our bedroom features a King Sized Bed with 100% cotton sheets, a cozy brushed cotton spread, and an extra blanket for those chilly winter nights. Baseboard heat and a ceiling fan ensure you'll be comfortable no matter what time of year you visit! Enjoy watching your favorite shows and movies from bed on our Smart TV... feel free to log in to any of the apps you enjoy at home! (guests must provide their login info) Touch bedside lamps, a sunrise alarm clock, and a weather information station are also available for your convenience. Enjoy cooking your meals on vacation? Our fully stocked kitchen has all that you'll need! We supply all dishware, glassware, utensils, and plenty of cookware as well. The coffee maker makes both drip and k-cup coffee. Wine glasses, a microwave, a full-sized electric oven and range, a crock pot, and a blender are all available for you to use. We also have a full-size washer and dryer if you need to get some laundry done or dry out that wet ski gear! Cozy up in our open-concept living space without feeling cut off from what's happening in the kitchen or outside on the deck! We have a sumptuous, full-sized leather couch, oversized leather chair and ottoman, and another Smart TV in this room for you to enjoy. A variety of board games and a dedicated workstation with a monitor ensure you can both work and play as needed. (Please note, due to Hurricane Helene the fireplace is not functional at this time.) The bathroom has a tub shower combo with a large showerhead that can also be used as a handheld. Fluffy towels are provided! One flight of stairs down to the main entrance, one short flight down to the condo door, and one short flight from the door down to the rooms are required for entry. All rooms of the condo are on one level. We provide ski racks outside the door of the condo for all of your equipment! Please, no ski boots or golf shoes in the condo to prevent marking the floors. If you need anything during your stay, our local cohost Aimee is happy to help. No waiting online for a third-party management company to get back to you! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire condo with the exception of a few locked owner's closets and cabinets. Other things to note Our condo is on Sugar Mountain! What does this mean for you? In colder / snowy seasons: you WILL need snow tires or chains, and an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle. The weather on Sugar can change in an instant, and we may not be able to accommodate adding extra days to your stay in inclement weather. Please ensure your vehicle is equipped properly for mountain driving in the snow. In warmer seasons: please watch carefully for wildlife. We have foxes, deer, and even bears on Sugar! Do not leave any food or trash outside the condo. Do not leave food in your vehicles. Please drive carefully as we frequently see newborn deer crossing the roads in late spring / early summer. *** Please remember that we do get snow, rain, fog, and other occasional inconveniences that are out of our control here in the mountains. Winter weather can occur here from November through April. This property is accessed and maintained via a paved road and a paved parking area which may be icy or snowy during winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means four-wheel drive, good tires, and possibly snow chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for potentially hazardous road conditions. There will be no refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from weather conditions out of our control. *** While the deck does have stairs leading down to the ground, we ask that guests not use them as the terrain is very steep. For your own safety, please use the front of the condo for entry and exit.
