Other things to note Platamona beach along the gulf of Asinara is a long flat white beach surrounded by maritime pine trees and is approx. 9 mins by car. Many other options are available depending on your individual taste (sand, pebble, catered, etc.) Ideal location for nature lovers and bird watchers - the Platamona bird sanctuary is a very short drive away. Closest airport: Alghero Fertilia - AHO Approx. 30 mins by car. Closest port: ‘Porto Torres’ Approx. 15 mins by car.
