Peaceful, elegantly furnished and tranquil views are just a few words to describe the setting... This is a freestanding detached cottage, not shared - all yours ! The cottage ouzes Traditional charm with added Modern comforts to give you a relaxed and authentic stay. Enjoy panoramic views and cocktails on your private balcony. The cottage is newly furnished yet keeping the cosy Laos simplicity and ambience. Bedroom- Brand new (2025) European king size mattress complete with White 5* hotel linen ensures a comfortable sleep. Air conditioned. Balcony The expansive balcony keeps you in touch with nature and the beautiful mountain views over Laos while enjoying a sunset cocktail or evening al fresco dinner. Kitchen- The kitchen is traditional in style but has all the essentials one needs and also the small appliances such as toaster oven, hot plate, electric kettle, mini oven and of coarse a large refrigerator. Lounge- The lounge area has comfortable arm chairs to admire the view or watch a movie on the smart Tv. There is Utube and Prime Video both with complementary accounts. Automatic washing machine is available for use, no dryer but clothes line where everything dries very quickly. The cleaner will clean and remove rubbish each week. Bed linen is changed weekly and for stays over 2 weeks there is a small surcharge if you need Linen changed .. Surrounding area- Directly outside the property is the beautiful Rosewood hotel and bar which straddles the river - a five min walk ! Also just a few mins walk in the other direction is the Santi Resort where you can enjoy their large pool ($5) and restaurant which is very good and reasonable. Lovely gardens to walk around also ! Your own transport is recommended and scooters are the norm here. I can arrange scooters for about $6 per day. Alternatively there is a local Uber style app. About $4 to town. To Summerise ... This is a unique and rare cottage aimed at discerning guests who are wanting more than a hotel room. Hilltop Hideaway gives you your own kitchen, separate bedroom and multiple relaxing areas... Its the perfect place for those looking for tranquility, nature and a good rest - yet just 10 mins from town. Most of the hotels in the town have small rooms and many are traditional wood structures meaning it's not easy to find quiet accommodation. Lastly please familiarize yourself with my House Rules and 'Other Details' section before booking.. NO SMOKING of any sort in or around the property... Ask me about long term rentals.. APRIL 2026 Note.... From APRIL to September 2026 the cottage will ONLY be available on a monthly basis at a rate of $490pm. This includes electric, water, internet. Guest access I will meet you and show you everything personally.. Other things to note Note - The WHOLE property is NON SMOKING, of any sort .... This applies to everywhere on the property. If you are a smoker please choose another oroperty... Its important that one person speaks good English in order to book this property. Also - No Parties No other guests No loud music thank you in advance for your agreement.. MARCH 2026 Note.... From March to September 2026 the cottage will ONLY be available on a monthly rental at a rate of $590pm. This includes electric, water, internet and weekly cleaning.
