We live in a small desert community with very little resources so we humbly ask that you always try to protect the health of the local community. Thanks Style and comfort. Our property is set up for the ultimate desert experience. You will get the feeling of being "out there" with all of the amenities and luxuries needed to have a comfortable getaway. The property features a rich integration of inside/outside living. The house is a fully updated vintage manufactured home nestled within a fenced 2.5 acre lot. 2 bedrooms each with a private bath. Mid Century Desert Glam Decor throughout. Stunning desert and mountain views from every room. Multiple outdoor hangs including mini nature walks around the property. Some of the highlights include: Hot tub 8’ “Cowboy" stock tank pool (seasonal: roughly from Memorial Day until the end of September but can be extended a bit in either direction by request). Horseshoe pit Propane fire pit Gas grill Vinyl listening area Music instrument corner Dartboard Board games Direct TV with premium channels Wifi (note that rural Wifi is not the strongest, but it is fine for web surfing, FaceTime, etc). Open concept full kitchen/dinning room Washer/dryer. Guest enjoy access to the full property and all amenities (seasonal amenities apply). I will not be in the area for direct interactions but do have assistance nearby. Flamingo Heights, as it's name implies, is located on higher ground than most surrounding areas. Because of this, FH has some of the best views in the high desert. The temperature is also usually a bit cooler than the surrounding desert neighborhoods. The neighborhood itself is a perfect blend of the remote feeling of the desert with great accessibility and amenities. The property is within walking distance to convenience stores, boutiques and restaurants including world class eatery La Copine. Flamingo Heights is home to some of the areas finest musicians, artists and chefs and has a rich history as a preferred desert hideaway for creative types (Louis Armstrong had house in FH!). Although the area close to the property has great things to offer within walking distance, a vehicle and a responsible driver are needed to take full advantage of what the greater high desert has to offer. Public transportation is basically non existent. Cabs are hard to come by and ride shares are just starting to become available. My recommendation is to take it slow, enjoy the scenery and definitely map out every destination in advance as cell service can be spotty or non existent in some areas. Note to Insta book guests: your reservation may be canceled if you do not have a 5 star average rating but you can expect that we will ask you about any negative reviews and give you an opportunity to discuss any past issues reflected in your reviews before we do so. Insta book guests still have to pay the additional pet fees if planning on bringing a second dog (as Airbnb does not have the functionality to charge fees for multiple pets yet) and we do not accept more than two dogs per stay. The only pets we accept are dogs and all dogs are subject to approval per our house rules. If approved, we ask that you read and agree to follow all the dog rules. The dog rules can be found within the house rules section of this listing. There is a dog fee of $40 per dog per stay. The first dogs fee will be collected at the time of booking and additional dog fees for a second dog will be collected before check in. Failure to report additional un approved pets to the host upon check in, will result in immediate termination of the reservation with no refund. Due to the nature of the property we do not recommend the space for children under the age of 15 and we require at least one guest to be over the age of 25. However this rule may be flexible upon discussion. This is a rural desert area, and as such it is prone to utility service interruptions. Please note that these do not happen often (mostly during extreme wind or heat) but we have made sure to have all the necessities to make you as comfortable as possible should a power outage occur. By renting you acknowledge that a power interruption is possible and is out of our control. We do not offer refunds or discounts because of power issues that originate outside of our property. The internet is suitable for basic work functions such as email and even video conferencing (most of the time). But rural internet can be spotty so we cannot guarantee the performance of our internet. We also do not provide any streaming equipment as this proves to be unreliable at best with rural internet. We do provide Direct TV with full access to Showtime and HBO.
