Hidden in the lush green mountains of northern Thailand, 30kms from the Burmese and Lao borders, 458m above sea level, lies Chivit Thamma Da Mountain Home, a 7 room villa surrounded by pristine forest and with spectacular mountain and lake views. This is the very north of Thailand and during the winter the climate is fresh and cool with crystal clear starlit evenings. Perfect for outdoor BBQs or late night night caps in front of the indoor fire place. The space The villa consists of two main buildings, both of which can be rented individually or together for larger groups. The Mountain View Villa has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and sleeps eight adults. The Lake View Villa has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps five adults. Extra beds can be provided to accommodate a total of sixteen guests. Both villas have fully equipped kitchens, large terraces and living rooms and all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. All rates include daily maid and laundry service as well as coffee, tea and water. Full or partial catering is offered at extra costs and there are two well stocked bars at reasonable prices. Kitchens are fully equipped and upon request delivery of food and drink can be arranged prior to arrival. Common areas include an evening lounge with a home theatre sound system, unicorn darts, bar billiards, a 12ft snooker table and table tennis table. Additionally, the 5 rai property houses huge ancient trees, a saltwater swimming pool, mountain view breakfast terrace, a lakeside BBQ area, a private lake with a fishing pier and a teak rowing boat, an organic vegetable garden, numerous tropical fruit trees and various cozy sitting areas and hammocks spread out throughout the property. Guest access Guests have total privacy within their own Villa and share access to all common areas with the neighbor Villa Other things to note The villa is approximately 45 min drive north of Chiang Rai Airport, perfectly located to explore nearby attractions of Doi Mae Salong, Doi Tung, Tham Luang Cave, Doi Pha Hee, Chang Moob Army outpost and the Burma border town of Mae Sai. The Golden Triangle and historic cities of Chiang Saen and Chiang Khong on the Mekong River bordering Lao are also close by. The area has wonderful mountain trails for jogging, walking and mountain biking. Bikes are available for free. Please ask the staff for guidance. Please make sure you bring your phone and plenty of water!
