Welcome to my home in Jotisgaun, Melamchi Stay with us and experience the authentic rhythm of village life, surrounded by beautiful terraced hills and mountain views. This is a truly local experience — perfect for travelers who wish to slow down, live simply, and connect with Nepali people. You can join daily farm activities, walk around the fields, or visit nearby places: -The Everest Tea Garden (45 mns walk) -The local school (45 mins walk) -Botechaur market (closest big bazar for groceries) The space A simple 4-room house with: - 1 guest bedroom with a mountain view - 1 family room - 1 storage room for cereals and food - 1 dining/living space The Nepali kitchen with wood fire is outside. Toilet and spring water are outside (no shower, no sink). 🍚 Meals You will enjoy homemade Nepali vegetarian food — dal bhat for dinner and a traditional Nepali breakfast prepared with love by our family. This is not luxury — it’s life as it really is in a Nepali village: simple, peaceful, and full of heart. Guest access Guests are welcome to move freely around the house and farm area. You can relax, help with small farm activities, or walk around the village to meet the locals. We are happy to share our culture and daily life with you. Other things to note 🚌 How to Get Here From Aama Hyolmo Bus Park in Kathmandu: Buses to Jotisgaun (Melamchi municipality) run daily at 7 am, 8 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm. The ride takes about 1.5 – 2 hours and costs less than 200 NPR. 📍 Please note: Our home is in Jotisgaun village, around 15 minutes above Botechaur Bazaar by bus. As in most Nepali villages, there is no formal street address — You will receive after booking the exact place. 💧 Facilities - Spring water outside - Toilet outside (no shower, no sink) - Simple bedding and fresh mountain air ✨ Come as a guest, leave as a friend. This is a true Nepali homestay experience — humble, heartfelt, and connected to nature.
