Kings View Farm ‘The Cottage’ - side of Mt Roland

This charming mountain style self-contained cottage is nestled on the side of Mount Roland, Tasmania. Located on a quiet unsealed road, with stunning views of the Dasher Valley on one side and Mount Roland on the other. Only 10 minutes from Sheffield (full amenities/dining), 45 minutes from Cradle Mountain, 1 hour from Launceston and 40 minutes from the Spirit of Tasmania. Relax on the private deck, pat our goats or explore nearby walking tracks, waterfalls, wineries, tasting trails, etc. The space Enjoy the view of Mount Roland and our goats and silkie chickens through the picture window in the dining area while enjoying your breakfast or dinner! We provide locally sourced or Tasmanian (where possible) provisions, including our own eggs and honey to create your own breakfast in the newly renovated kitchen. Provisions include: our own eggs, honey, Tasmanian bacon, Spreyton apple juice, bread, milk, butter, Australian cereals and porridge. We also provide olive oil, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and locally seasoned salt. On cooler evenings, enjoy the warmth and ambiance of the wood heater, we provide wood just outside your door. On your private deck you can enjoy the views over the Dasher Valley whilst winding down after your day of travelling or hiking. Guest access The Cottage is a short walk from your car park to the rear of the main residence, you have your own deck, your own laundry with washing machine/dryer, access to the clothes line, and shared access to the BBQ area. Other things to note We do have two dogs a chow chow, Pippi and a corgi, Edward. We will work towards keeping them away from you during your stay, although if you’d like to meet them, you’re more than welcome and can let me know 😊 They often bark when guests first arrive but they settle once they get used to you.
