Rainbow Creek was curated for lovers and adventurers. Nestled on the edge of the rainforest in Kalang, you are immersed in nature - birdsong, glow worms and a million stars at night. We are far enough from Bellingen to feel like you have truly escaped but close enough to go out for a romantic dinner or a relaxed breakfast and coffee in the morning. The space It's Firefly season and our space has been crafted for nature lovers and couples seeking rest and reconnection to each other and the wild. Rainbow Creek is truly an off grid slow stay. Watch the forest and birds from the king bed, cook and feast in the fully appointed kitchen or lounge on Bellingen's comfiest couch in front of the fireplace after a day exploring the local attractions this area is famous for. Rainbow creek is also perfect for solo retreats and those wanting a space to slow down - wether its a digital detox, mindfulness practice or a creative stay. A large covered verandah overlooking the rainforest along the creek is perfect for morning coffee with the birds and a library with art supplies and nature books invites you into deeper connection with nature and your creative self. Rainbow creek is truly a special haven. Glow worms sparkle along the creek at night, fireflies swarm in spring and lyrebird calls echo through the gullies in the mist months of autumn. There are walking tracks through the bush and a little creek for rambles and adventures as well as access to one of the areas best kept secrets, the Kalang river, for swimming and nature connection. The house has a wood heater and air con and we provide plenty of firewood for both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. A library and special art space invites you into creativity and rest - all materials provided to spoil and inspire you from printmaking, watercolours or cyanotype prints. We welcome everyone at Rainbow Creek and celebrate love in all its forms. Rainbow Creek is on a shared property but is a standalone off grid cabin with its own driveway and access. It faces away from the other residence towards the forest and creek and is separated by a high timber wall and garden. This little space has been made totally private so you can experience nature and the land on your own, with 98 private acres for you to explore and wander on. Please note this unfenced wildlife haven is not suitable for pets. We love hosting and we love this land and we also appreciate the space and privacy that this lifestyle offers. As your hosts, you would only see us if you arranged a meet and greet. Guest access Rainbow Creek backs onto state forest and National Park. Guests have access to the majority of the property excepting the area directly surrounding the other house. We invite you to wander the trails up the hill or down along the creek and there are directions for accessing the Kalang river for swimming. Other things to note Rainbow creek has a separate composting toilet that is not inside the little house as we are fully off grid. The toilet is less than 10m from the house and has a light that is switched on from the house. It has the best view over the forest and is completely private. Registration details PID-STRA-73002
