Pottergate Rest is a warm and charming home, perfect for couples, friends, families, and visitors looking to explore everything Norwich has to offer. Tucked away in the historic city centre, this charming three-storey property offers a comfortable base for short breaks or longer stays. The space On the first floor, the living area invites you to unwind with a comfy sofa, two snug chairs, and a Smart TV – ideal for chilled evenings in. Just off the living space is a bright, fully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, and all the cookware and tableware you’ll need. A dining table in the kitchen seats four – perfect for easy meals after a day out. Upstairs, on the second floor, you’ll find two comfortable bedrooms, each with a cosy double bed, soft linen, bedside lighting, and space to unpack. One of the bedrooms also includes a small desk with a screen – great for checking emails or planning your next day out. The bathroom includes a bath with shower over, complimentary toiletries, soft towels, a mirror, and a hairdryer. Please note that the stairs are a little steeper than in modern builds. Guest access Staying at Pottergate Rest means you’re right in the heart of Norwich’s historic quarter, surrounded by some of the city’s most iconic sights. Here are just a few highlights – all within easy walking distance: St Gregory’s Church – Located just across the street, this beautiful medieval church now serves as an arts centre, often hosting exhibitions and local events. Norwich Cathedral (0.5 miles) – A must-see landmark with stunning Romanesque architecture, peaceful cloisters, and the second-tallest spire in England. Elm Hill (0.4 miles) – Step back in time along this cobbled medieval street, lined with timber-framed buildings, independent shops, and cosy cafes. Norwich Castle (0.6 miles) – Perched on a hill, this Norman castle is now a museum and art gallery, perfect for a morning or afternoon visit. Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell (0.5 miles) – Discover Norwich’s rich industrial and social history in this engaging and family-friendly museum. Riverside Walk (0.7 miles) – Ideal for a peaceful stroll along the River Wensum, with lovely views and wildlife along the way. The Belgian Monk (0.2 miles) – Just around the corner, this local favourite is known for its impressive range of Belgian beers and hearty food in a warm, relaxed setting. Other things to note Note: This centrally located home is just steps from great local amenities and sits opposite a small, friendly neighbourhood bar. It occasionally plays light music in the evenings and features soft exterior lighting overnight. Check-in & Access: You’ll receive an email with your key box code and full check-in instructions before arrival. If you have any questions, we’re just a call away. House Rules: - No smoking indoors (use outdoor areas & ashtrays provided). - No pets. - Please respect the property and leave it as you found it. - Quiet hours: 9 pm – 8 am (weekdays), 11 pm – 8 am (weekends). Damages: We understand accidents happen! Let us know if anything breaks so we can replace it for the next guests. We won’t charge for minor breakages like crockery.
