"People have been coming here for ages!" Bring the whole family to this historic farmhouse, with lots of room for fun and waterfront access on Adolphus Reach/the Bay of Quinte. The space "People have been coming here for ages!" Located in historic Adolphustown, on the shores of Adolphus Reach, this charming two-storey farmhouse can accommodate a maximum of ten (10) adults and several children, to a maximum of twelve (12) people. It is perfect for groups of families and friends. During the months May, June, September, October, November, and December, the minimum stay is two (2) nights. Check-in is 1:00 pm and check-out is 3:00 pm. During the high season months of July and August, the minimum stay is five (5) nights. Check-in is 3:00 pm and check-out is 11:am. Quiet Bayshore Road separates the farmhouse from its private rock and pebble shoreline (about 130 metres from the farmhouse). Here guests have use of a dock, raft, picnic table, several Muskoka chairs, and a copper bowl firepit. Farmhouse Features WiFi, Satellite TV and DVD player, a library that includes a selection of general reading and DVD's, a radio, ping pong table, dishwasher, laundry washer and dryer, second refrigerator, a pack ‘n play, highchair, hairdryer, heat exchanger for the bedroom level, and outside, veranda chairs, two (2) large picnic tables, a barbecue, swings, sandbox, outdoor games, fire pit and wood. Kitchen linens, pillows, and blankets are supplied as well as paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, salt/pepper, toilet paper, garbage and recycling bags, BBQ propane. SHEETS and TOWELS Note that sheets and towels are not included in the rental fee. However, these can be added for extra fees: Sheets $20 per set, and Towels $10 per set. Guests are expected to bring their personal supplies such as bath soap and shampoo, and for the shoreline, their own beach towels, water shoes, and toys. CLEANING IS INCLUDED, however, before checkout, guests are expected to do their dishes, remove all food, take out the garbage/recycling, move items back to original spots, and leave the farmhouse tidy. DRINKING WATER: Because the Farmhouse water supply is a well, Ontario water regulations advise purchasing or boiling water for drinking. NOTE that the hosts supply a water dispenser and jugs of commercially purchased water for guest use. The property is PET FRIENDLY for one (1) pet. Pre-approval and a pet fee will apply. ($15 per night). (NOTE: for those with allergies, pets have stayed at this property.) Smoking (including vaping and all forms of recreational smoking) is NOT allowed inside. Guests must be at least 25 years of age to make a booking. We will confirm guest numbers and will require ages of children after booking. LOW Season: 2 night min; 3 night min for long weekends. HIGH Season: From the weekend before or including Canada, up to Labour Day weekend, stays will be a minimum of4 nights. PAYMENT: Major credit cards’ payment will be collected by Airbnb at time of booking. Guest access Guests rent the entire Daverne Farmhouse. Surrounding the Farmhouse are a backyard with one outhouse and one storage shed and the front lawn. Adjacent is a field for parking of up to 6 cars. A laneway right of way leads from Bayshore Road down to the Bay of Quinte waterfront where guests use a picnic table and several Muskoka chairs. Not accessible for guests are the barn, farm outbuildings, and farm fields behind the back yard fence. Other things to note In order to keep our basic nightly rental moderately priced for families, we suggest that you bring your own sheets and/or towels. We do, when requested, supply sheets and/or towels for an extra fee: $20 per set of sheets; $10 per set of towels.
