Certain areas, such as the pool pump house, garage, solar system, and staff-only spaces, remain off-limits to guests to ensure safety and privacy. Other things to note Traveling helps us appreciate what we have at home. In Nicaragua as a third world country, power or water outages can occur occasionally. We will notify you if we know in advance, but sometimes we don't. Our solar system covers normal daytime usage, switching to the local provider DISSUR when the batteries drop to 17%. If the electricity doesn't return within 5 minutes after switching because DISSUR is off service, contact us immediately to report it. Do not manipulate the breakers; always reach out to us for assistance. Please utilize electric devices judiciously and ensure that appliances (AC, lights, ceiling fans) are turned off when you are out and about. Our water is delivered by the electric pressure pump system. In case of no electricity, we provide water over gravity and the water pressure will be low, but we will have water. Given that we are situated in a tropical region, temperatures can exceed 86 Celsius Fahrenheit (30 degrees Celsius) during the dry and rainy season. We also can experience strong winds and rain for just minutes and rarely up to some hours. Electricity costs are high in Nicaragua. The rental price for short-term rentals includes an allowance of 10 kWh/night, and any kilowatt hour above this amount incurs a cost of 0.30 US$. We provide a picture of your meter reading by check-in and check-out. This amount is payable by the tenant upon check-out. Long-term tenants pay for electricity in full every month. Long-term guests sign a contract in the legal language in Nicaragua. Our Smart TV is not connected to a cable service. You can connect your devices, and your Netflix and watch shows over the internet. On-site staff handle cleaning common areas, pool, yard. They are trained to follow their daily task and to respect your privacy. Additional Housekeeping is available for a small fee for short-term rentals; long-term rentals have one cleaning included each week.
