Embrace the winter wonderland with activities like snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and skating. On chillier days, stay entertained in the game room. Remote workers will appreciate our high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, and pet owners will love the fenced yard for their furry friends. The space Main Floor: Savor breathtaking lake views from the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with essentials including coffee, tea, salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil, avocado spray, and a variety of spices — everything you need to cook and feel at home. The dining table comfortably seats up to 8 guests, with a card table and 4 extra chairs available for larger gatherings. Relax in the cozy living room, complete with a TV, two plush sofas, and a wood-burning airtight stove that creates the perfect ambiance on cooler evenings. There’s never a dull moment, with plenty of board games, cards, and puzzles available for your entertainment. A Fire Stick provides access to a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The master bedroom features a TV and a private full ensuite bathroom. A second bedroom on the main floor offers a double bunk bed (single on top), and a second full bathroom is conveniently located nearby. The open, expansive layout of this level is sure to be one of the highlights of your stay. --- Lower Level: Head downstairs to the spacious game room, where 9-foot ceilings and large windows create a bright, welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy endless entertainment with activities like ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, karaoke, or a quiet match of chess or checkers in the cozy corner. A sectional sofa faces a TV mounted above a charming brick gas fireplace — perfect for movie nights or relaxing after a day of adventure. A convenient bathroom with a walk-in shower is also located on this level. Downstairs, you’ll find two large bedrooms: one with a queen-size bed and another with both a double bunk bed and a queen-size bed, each offering plenty of natural light. Guest access Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire home, including all common areas and bedrooms, except for the primary bedroom’s walk-in closet and the furnace/utility room, which will remain locked. Please note there is no access to the garage. Other things to note Outdoor Adventures & Activities Please note: we are not a sandy beachfront property. Our waterfront is more natural and rugged, just a 2-minute walk from the house. We highly recommend water shoes. Guests are welcome to use our 3 paddle boards, 2 kayaks, and life jackets — all at your own risk. Buffalo Lake is a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to more than 145 bird species, including pelicans, loons, and cranes — you might even spot a “lifer” for your birding list! For fun on land, head to the Rochon Sands Community Hall for a game of pickleball, or try your hand at disc golf. We Rochon Sands also offers a sandy public beach just a short drive away. We provide 2 adult bikes with helmets for you to explore the area — also use at your own risk. Outdoor Fun & Relaxation We’ve stocked the property with outdoor games including cornhole, tic-tac-toe, bocce ball, and ring toss. After a day of adventure, unwind in the gazebo with a beer, glass of wine, or a cool drink, and enjoy the spectacular night sky. We also provide pickleball rackets and balls, tennis rackets, and disc golf discs for use in the community recreation areas. Local Amenities Firewood: Available for purchase at Rochon Sands Provincial Park (we supply a starter pile). Bar W Convenience Store: Just a short walk away — perfect for pies, ice cream, grill items, and more. The Snak Shack: Also nearby, offering grilled meals and ice cream. Cash only. Stettler (22 min): Ride the Alberta Prairie Railway, a vintage 1920s steam or diesel passenger train offering themed excursions such as BBQ dinners, murder mysteries, and more. Watch out for a surprise visit from the “Reynolds Raiders” train robbers! Drumheller (1 hr 29 min): Home to the Royal Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum, Hoodoos, Last Chance Saloon, and Horse Thief Canyon — a fantastic day trip. Rowley (1 hr): Explore a haunted Western ghost town.
