Welcome to Under the Pines in Big Bear!! Located on a quiet street, this spacious cabin is perfect for couples, friends & small families! The cabin is near hiking trails, Big Bear Lake, restaurants, cafes, the Farmers Market & Oktoberfest! A 7 min. drive to the Village & stores, your perfect place to call home after an adventure filled day around town. Make your favorite meal, relax in the hot tub, tor stay in and cozy up with a hot cocoa & movie by the fire. Add us to your wish list. The space Under the Pines is a 2 bedroom/ 1 bath Sierra style cabin making it a serene mountain getaway, perfect for 4-6 guests. The cabin has been updated to offer a modern feel but still allowing that charm of a cozy mountain cabin vibe. Under the Pines is equipped with all the comforts of home. As you walk in, you will be greeted by an open floor plan in the living room, dining room, and kitchen area. The living room offers a wood burning brick fireplace to keep warm in the snowy winter months, as well an indoor heater. The cabin recently added board games, a poker table, and an arcade system which perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your kitchen needs so you can enjoy a home cooked meal. From the kitchen, you can enjoy the tree views of the backyard so you can keep an eye on your pets and kids in a fully fenced yard. The primary bedroom offers a comfy queen sized bed with tree lined views from the bed. It's also equipped with a designated work area where you can open up the windows and enjoy the fresh mountain breeze. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and plenty of space for kids to play. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo with plenty of storage under the sink for extra towels and toiletries. When you're ready to enjoy the fresh mountain air, make your way to the backyard where you can relax in the hot tub or settle in on an Adirondack chair or lounge chair next to 11 tall pine trees that sit on the property. For spring, summer and fall months enjoy the BBQ, or dine outside on the picnic table on the back deck. During sunset, you may wish to check out the views from the front patio with a glass of wine and charcuterie board on the patio table. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house except one locked owners closetand the shed. We use these for storage :) Other things to note NOISE We know you have good taste in music, but your neighbors might not. So turn down the volume and keep all noise to a minimum. Guests are advised to adhere to quiet hours between 10 pm and 8 am. PETS Pets are required to be leashed or kept in an enclosed area on the property at all times. Please be aware that barking or other animal noise may result in noise complaints. Be sure to register your pet with your reservation. Pets not on the reservation will be charged $35 fee. TRASH Help us keep our surroundings clean and wildlife-friendly by ensuring all trash is securely placed in the provided city trash cans. If you stay includes a Sunday night, kindly place the cans at the end of the street for Wednesday pick up. Any trash that cannot fit in the city cans should be taken to the designated dumpsite upon departure. Overflowing trash may incur a $25 charge per bag left behind. Dump site include: 38550 Holcomb Valley Rd. Big Bear City 92314 (Open Monday-Saturday 8:00-4:30) FIREPLACE Please DO NOT dispose of ashes, simply leave them in the fireplace. OCCUPANCY 6 people MAX (including children & infants) Exceeding the occupancy limit could result in expulsion from the rental, fines, or both. ADDITIONAL GUESTS For the comfort and safety of all guests, we request that you adhere to the number of guests specified in your reservation. Any extra guests will incur a charge of $50 per person per night. PARKING Our driveway allows for 1 large vehicle or 2 small vehicles. Parking on the side of street is prohibited by the city which may fine or tow your vehicle. The vehicles must be parked at the top of the driveway where is it flat. NO SMOKING/DRUGS No smoking, no vaping, no drugs or illegal activity on or around property. PROHIBITED USES Short-term rentals may not be used for commercial purposes, such as filming, corporate retreats, conferences, or wedding receptions. COMPLAINTS The County operates a 24-hour hotline where residents can report short-term rental violations. All complaints are investigated and can result in a $1,000 citation. WEATHER Please check weather conditions prior to departing for your trip. During winter months, chains maybe required for your vehicle and enforced by Highway Patrol. In winter months ice and snow are not uncommon, and the driveway may become inaccessible or icy. There is a parking area at the top of the driveway. The town will plow the neighborhood roads, as well as our snow plow team that does plow the driveway after a snow storm. No refund will be given for "Acts of God" such as weather. If the house is truly inaccessible for the start of the stay we will work with the guest. Host assumes no responsibility for icy/slippery outside surfaces including porches, stairs, decks, or driveway. Use caution and use handrails. No refund will be given for power outages due to electricity being turned off by Southern California Edison due to risk of wildfires in the area. For safety reasons, once the power was shut off, the gas service was also automatically shut off to prevent any potential gas leaks. This is a standard safety measure and not something we are able to override. Travel insurance is recommended. WILDLIFE In the mountains there are many wild animals some of which include mountain lions, coyotes, donkeys, and bears. Please do not approach these animals. Use caution and make a loud noise to scare them away. Always use caution when walking pets and do not leave them unattended in the yard. Registration Details CESTRP-2022-00217
