The forge

The forge is surrounded by water, which gives a sense of freedom. Franeker is an old town (1 of 11) with many authentic buildings. There are plenty of restaurants and nice museums, including the Planetarium (Unesco World Heritage). There is also a theater, and Franeker is the center of the sport of kaats. The "Tsjûkelân" frisbee field is 100 meters away from the forge. Outside the city, there is a lot of agricultural area, the Wadden Sea and the port city of Harlingen, 10 kilometers away. The space The forge is located on the outskirts of the city center of Franeker and has been in operation since about 1850. The blacksmith and his family used to live "in the building." This is roughly the space in which the apartment is located, with its own entrance at the old address of the forge, Schilbanken 27. The forge has been newly built in the old style. On the top floor are 2 bedrooms and on the landing is a built-in bed with a bed of 120 cm (doubter). Guest access The accommodation consists of a living room/kitchen and bathroom on the first floor, on the second floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. On the landing, there is another bedstead of 120 wide.
