Traditional cottage, seclusion & charm, beach 1 mi

O' Briens Cottage is a rural style cottage set in a coastal location less than 1 mile from Whitestrand beach and the village of Doonbeg in County Clare.This cottage sleeps seven people in 4 bedrooms, two double bedrooms. A room with two single beds and a room with a single bed. The cottage also has a traditional open fire in the kitchen and a solid fuel stove in the sitting room. It is decorated to convey rural Ireland. We negotiate price on weekly and monthly stays. The space The cottage itself conveys the traditional Irish past, decorated with antiques that reflect rural Ireland. With this in mind it is the perfect get away for people who want to experience the past but in a modern well heated house. It is an ideal place for someone who wants to relax, unwind and get back to nature. The cottage is only 1 mile from the whitestrand beach and a 15 minute drive from the popular kilkee beach. In addition it is only 5 miles from the famous trump International resort and golf course. I have a minimum stay of 1 week during June, July and August. Guest access Guests can access all parts of the house and front garden but the stable and the hay barn is off limits and not to be entered. Other things to note The stairs are steep and may not be suitable for elderly people with mobility problems and young children. In the summer months June to September we do not provide towels and guests must bring their own. The property is dog friendly however we charge a 50 euro cleaning fee in this circumstance. We do not provide firewood for the stove the house is heated by oil and can be controlled by the thermostat. Please do not light a fire in the fireplace in the kitchen that is for display only and it will cause smoke damage. Guests will be charged an extra 80 euro for the cleaning of the walls if smoke stains occur.
