West Cork Escape-Durrus

This peaceful rural retreat is an atmospheric modern property built in the style of an old Irish cottage - high ceilings, rough plaster walls and slate/wooden floors. Located outside Durrus village, a base from which to explore the "Three Peninsulas", Mizen Head, Sheep's Head and the Ring of Beara. Fully equipped, a "home for all seasons", escape here all year round to enjoy the spectacular scenery of mountains and sea as well as the gastronomy of West Cork. The space Our aim is to offer you "a home from home" experience for any season. The house and kitchen are fully equipped . The rural location offers wonderful starry nights with no light pollution. Hares and pheasants can be seen in the garden, a peaceful place to sit enjoying the tranquility with a coffee or a glass of wine on a sunny day. In the winter, the wood burning stove offers a warm welcome along with the full central heating throughout. Although listed as available for family bookings, please be aware that certain features require supervision with young children e.g. the wood burning stove in the lounge, steep aspects of garden. Please note we use a professional laundry service and cleaning services to ensure the quality of your experience. Guest access There are two bedrooms downstairs. One bedroom has a king size bed and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom downstairs has two single beds. There is also a full bathroom downstairs. Upstairs is a third bedroom with a king size bed . There is also another full bathroom upstairs. There is plenty of parking space. Please be aware that it is essential to have a car to stay at this rural location. It is a few miles outside of Durrus village. Other things to note Check in will be available from 4:00pm on day of arrival. On day of departure, property must be vacated by 10:00am.
