Nancy's cottage, an authentic old cottage dating back to the 1800's overlooks the Atlantic Ocean with uninterrupted panoramic views. It has its own pier, allowing for swimming (when tide in), crab fishing for children, and sea trout fishing for the more patient of fishermen/women. Seals are regular visitors to the bay. Set in a rural, peaceful location this property has mature gardens. Nancy’s cottage is located 1 mile from the town of Dungloe with its shops, restaurants, bars and live music. The space Nancys cottage is perfectly situated for walking/golfing/fishing and other activity holidays. Maghery is the closest beach and is approximately 5km away and leads to the very scenic drive around Crohy Head with its Martello tower and dramatic sea cliffs. The space This property is suitable for couples and families who just want to get away from it all. At Nancys cottage you will find the single beds, one double bedroom and the bathroom upstairs, (the shower is over the bath). Downstairs there are front and back porches (there are 2 steps up to the back porch) from the kitchen, kitchen, sitting room and a double bedroom (low door frame to bedroom). The kitchen is well stocked however guests should note that there is only very small freezer box built into the fridge. Guest access To the front of the cottage there is a tarmac drive with parking and a very low step to the front door. There are steps to access the rear of the cottage and the back door. Interaction with guests The key will be left in a safe box and the code will be provided before arrival. Niamh (the house keeper) will be contacted by phone during your stay. Other things to note: - There is a lane to the front of the cottage that carries traffic to the 3 properties that are beyond (one is a holiday home). - The cottage has fibre Wi-Fi, the password is available at the cottage.
