Located just 5 minutes from Carbonear and 15 minutes from Salmon Cove Sands, our place offers the perfect mix of charm, comfort, and outdoor adventure. Soak in the private 4-person hot tub, curl up by the wood stove, or challenge your friends to a game of darts. Enjoy an evening around the outdoor fire pit, or take a short walk to Shades of the Past Museum and dive into local history. We offer partial ocean views, fresh sea air, and easy access to hiking, swimming, and scenic quadding trails. Local restaurants, shops, and historic outports are all just a short drive away. Please note: There’s no Wi-Fi or cable – and that’s part of the charm. Unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature and each other. We’d love to host you at The Blue Bird. The garage features a dart board and a relaxing 4-person hot tub – perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. You'll have the whole space to yourselves for a peaceful and private getaway. Other things to note Please note that the road leading to the cottage is gravel and not maintained by the community. Take your time driving in, especially during wet or snowy weather. In winter months, snowfall may affect access, so plan accordingly. Also, the wood stored in the yard is not for guest use – it belongs to our neighbor.
