The Blue House is in the charming village of Ballyvaughan on the Wild Atlantic Way. Furnished with inviting and comfortable sofas and a personal blend of modern and antique pieces, it's the perfect setting for entertaining family and friends. The luxurious ensuite bedrooms provide guests with comfort and privacy while the two living rooms and two dining areas allow plenty of room to relax and socialise. Hiking trails are just out the door and the pubs of are 1.2 km away. The space The Burren Blue House is a perfect space for luxurious and comfortable entertaining. (Re-listed August 2023 after a complete remodel.) The large back deck offers a fine view and an outdoor dining table for 12 as well as an outdoor sofa area. There is a view of the turlough from the deck and the upstairs bedrooms. (A turlough is a seasonal lake that can appear and disappear overnight.) Help yourself to herbs from the greenhouse. The dining or game area in the front living room is perfect for cards or scrabble on a rainy day or an evening whisky after a hike. The large sofas faces the wood burning stove and the Samsung smart TV. (The two living rooms each have an oversize smart TV with Sky cable, so Netflix can be on in one living room and the match in another. The upstairs master has its own large television as well.) The back living room has a velvet sectional sofa. The Samsung smart TV is on a moveable arm. A Victorian mahogany dining table has removable leaves to expand to 12 for big groups or contract for more intimate dinners. The kitchen is fully equipped everything from wine glasses to tagines. A new Bosch dishwasher is ready for clean up and the new Rangemaster gas range has two ovens and six burners. There is a farmhouse sink and a large French door refrigerator with filtered water and ice. The adjacent laundry has a separate washer and dryer, huge antique Belfast sink, linen storage and a half bath. All five bedrooms and ensuites have all been luxuriously remodelled - all showers are both rainhead and handheld, while two have additional body sprays. Mattresses are plush and linens are high quality 100 percent cotton percale. The house is equipped with high-speed, fiber-optic WIFI Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, other than the storage shed, which is locked. Other things to note We are only 1.2 km from the pubs in Ballyvaughan but the N67 is extremely narrow with no shoulder. Students from nearby Burren College of Art walk it (carefully and facing oncoming traffic) but high visibility vests are a must. Driving or a taxi is a better option for the less intrepid or large groups. Tom Connolly has a taxi service and is a nearby neighbour. There is also a hiking trail that can take you into town during the day.
