Description

A newly created space located alongside the walking trail of the Old Butter Road, from Schull to Ballydehob. Overlooked by the dominant and impressive Mount Gabriel, with breath-taking sea views of Cape Clear, the islands and Roaring Water Bay to the south. Lie back in the sumptuous king sized bed of the master bedroom and watch the captivating beam of the Fastnet Lighthouse "Ireland's Teardrop. The space An ideal base to explore and enjoy the vibrant Villages of Schull and Ballydehob, activities such as hiking, sea-swimming, kayaking, sailing, and cycling or just to escape from the world in the wilds of West Cork. Sustainable underfloor geothermal heating, warm, clean and comfortable. Quality bedding. Bright and modern space with Wi-fi and Smart TV. Self contained. Open plan fully equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms, sleeps 4/5. Large open plan living space contains sofa bed if required for additional person. The master bedroom has a King size bed and window overlooking Roaring water bay and Fastnet Lighthouse. The second bedroom has a king bed and single bed. Travel Cot available as required. Guest access Our guests will have access to the detached building via a private entrance driveway next to our home and parking gravelled area with access to the front of the property. Wheelchair access via a separate ramp and pathway. Other things to note *While we love our furry friends unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets in the property as a working farm is nearby. **Both bedrooms are upstairs. ***The cottage has a small garden area directly in front for guests use but please note the large garden in front of main house is private property. ****To make the most of your West Cork visit a car is advised for access to the villages and surrounding areas. *****Please note one bathroom with electric shower. No en-suite. ******We are very excitedly awaiting the roll out of the national high speed fibre broadband, we currently have the best Wi-Fi service available to us in the area but at times it can be somewhat unreliable. It may not always be suitable for heavy use activities or to be relied upon for critical remote work. *******Our breathtaking sea views can mean it gets a little windy up here, views of the fastnet tend not to lend themselves to sheltered spots... Bring a jacket!
