Situated within walking distance to the quiet and beautiful village of Coolaney with a scenic view of the Ox mountains. Lily’s Cottage will be perfect for you if you enjoy nature and want to get away from the city. With plenty of outdoor activities in the local area, such as extensive mountain bike trails, numerous walks and hikes, fishing, and scenic road cycling routes. The space Lily’s Cottage is located in a quiet rural setting just on the outskirts of Coolaney village. The property has 3 bedrooms, (two double beds and a single bed), and one bathroom with shower. The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking with an oven and hob. There is a washer/ dryer and an outdoor clothes line, useful when coming back from the beach. There is a large private garden with a picnic table, that catches the sun in the evening on a good day. A perfect area for relaxing, enjoying a meal, or for kids to play. There is plenty of room for parking a car or storing bikes. Good fibre optic internet available, up to 500Mb. Please see photos of internet speeds. TV in cosy living room for streaming Netflix or cast from an app on your phone. This is a new property to AirB&B. Nearby: Coolaney has all your basic amenities, including a shop with a deli and petrol/diesel pump, a mini-supermarket, a pharmacy, a butcher’s, playground, a GP health centre, a community café, a Chinese takeaway, a pub, and an Italian restaurant. Coolaney hosts the National Mountain Bike centre which includes 76km of cycling trails with varying levels of difficulty. Enjoy forest walks in the area or road cycle the loop around The Lady’s Bray. The village is just 4 km off the Wild Atlantic Way main road. Nearby towns of Collooney and Ballisodare (7 min drives): Food shops, filling stations, takeaways, pubs. Union wood forest walks and MTB trails, and access to the Sligo Way. Sligo Town (20 min drive): Perfect to visit for pubs and nightlife, restaurants, cafes, cinema, and some shopping. There are a variety of beaches and coastline nearby to visit: Dunmoran strand (15 mins) is excellent for swimming and walking, visit nearby Aughris head for a scenic walk followed by some delicious seafood in the Beach bar. Strandhill beach (20 mins) is a beautiful drive around the bay, where there is renowned surfing, climb Queen Maeve’s grave, and eat excellent ice-cream. Other popular beaches to visit include Enniscrone, Rosses Point, Streedagh, Lissadell, and Eskey (just for surfing). Take an afternoon to visit South Sligo and see the mythical Caves of Kesh, and climb into the passage graves of Carrowkeel.
