A perfect stay for those wanting a combination of beachside vacation and city break. The space The studio apartment is located adjacent to Gormanston Beach, overlooking the Irish Sea. The building was built in the 1930s as the Silver Beach Pavilion and Dance Hall. It was known locally at the time as the 'Ballroom of Romance', and hosted local events and show-bands who came from across Ireland to perform for the local community. Since then, the building has been restored with all modern conveniences. The studio apartment has its own front door and entrance hallway. It comes with a modern fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances (fridge, dishwasher, and washer dryer combo). There is a living/dining area with television with Sky satellite package and Netflix. The bedroom has a hotel quality king size bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets. The en suite bathroom is stocked with toiletries and cotton towels. Fast Wifi perfect for streaming movies and video-teleconferencing. Modern heat recovery ventilation system has been installed to keep the property fully ventilated. Guest access The property is situated off a quiet country road (cul-de-sac, leading to the beach), behind an electric security gate (with keypad). There is also a separate access-controlled pedestrian gate for convenient access to the beach. Private secure parking is available in front of the studio. Other things to note Dublin City Centre: 40 minutes by car or 46 minutes by train from Gormanston train station. Trains to/from Dublin Connolly and Dublin Pearse stations run hourly. Dublin Airport: 25 minutes by car. The 101 Bus Eireann service between Gormanston and Dublin Airport takes 49 minutes. A car is recommended for convenience in order to reach the nearest supermarket in Balbriggan (SuperValu or Tesco), which is a 6 minute drive away. Alternatively, the train between Gormanston and Balbriggan takes 4 minutes. Motor vehicles are prohibited on Gormanston Beach in order to protect the flora and fauna and provide a safe space for exercise and recreation.
