Description

Cozy Rustic 1800s-Inspired Cabin with Private Pond, Creek Access & 30 Acres -Located at the end of a private gravel drive, the cabin offers a peaceful retreat blending historic charm and modern comfort. Relax on the front deck with views of the pond or enjoy the back deck overlooking the creek. The loft has queen and a full bed, the basement has a full bed and futon for additional sleeping. Please note, due to the stairs and rustic decor, this cabin may not be suitable for small children. The space Creekside Cabin on Laughery Creek - Escape to our cozy cabin located along Laughery Creek. With a boat ramp right on the property, if the weather is permitting, you can bring your boat and enjoy boating, kayaking, swimming or fishing. The Ohio River is just a 25-30 minute boat ride from the cabin. The property features a pond with a sandy beach entrance, perfect for a relaxing swim or a peaceful spot to unwind. Enjoy the large patio ideal for gathering with friends and family. For some friendly competition, there’s a volleyball net set up. As the evening sets in, light up one of the two fire pits—whether you’re roasting marshmallows, telling stories, or simply enjoying the night sky, it’s the perfect way to end the day. Surrounded by abundant wildlife, you’ll feel immersed in nature, yet you’re only minutes away from downtown Aurora and Lawrenceburg for dining, shopping, and local attractions. Adventure is just around the corner—Perfect North Slopes for skiing, the Creation Museum, and the area’s casinos are all within a 30-minute drive. For a day trip, downtown Cincinnati is just 45 minutes away, offering a range of cultural, dining, and entertainment options. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat or outdoor fun, our cabin offers the best of both worlds! When you step inside the cabin, you’ll immediately feel the charm of this 1800s-inspired building. The low front door welcomes you into a rustic, yet cozy space filled with antique tools hanging on the walls—a fun reminder of the past. The loft offers a queen and a full bed, making it a perfect spot for restful nights. For additional sleeping space, the basement area includes a full bed and a futon, accommodating extra guests. Relax on the main floor where the couches come equipped with built-in recliners, perfect for winding down after a day of adventure. While the kitchen area is compact, it features a full-size refrigerator and a stove that, though small, is perfect for preparing meals during your stay. Other things to note * The restroom and shower room are located in the lower level (basement) of the cabin. Due to this the cabin may not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues, as the main beds are located in the loft area. * The concrete boat ramp that is on the property has a dirt road leading to it. If we have a lot of rain it will be too muddy to use. Always check before driving your vehicle back. The boat ramp is shared with the neighbors so there may be others using it during your stay. Please park your vehicle and trailer out of the way of the ramp so that others can access it as well. * We recommend bringing your kayaks, paddle boards etc. (not provided) up from the creek at night when not in use. It is a public creek and there may be some late night boat traffic and we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. * While most of the time the cabin is quiet, at times you may hear action from surrounding areas or camps across the creek. * Lighthouse Marina is located at the end of the creek before you get out to the river(25-30min boat ride). Hours vary, they do have fairly priced gas and ice. *When boating up the creek, use your depth finder and proceed with caution. We typically travel the creek multiple times a week by boat. It is a nice ride, but you do need to be cautious of sticks, stumps or debris at times. * Mobile data does not work great on the creek most of the time, but as you get closer to the river it does start to work again.
