Walk to the nearby Lewis Creek (just a half mile away), hit the slopes at Badger Pass Ski Area, ride the scenic Sugar Pine Railroad, or head into downtown Oakhurst or Mariposa for shopping, dining, and more. * Once you pass the Yosemite park gate, it’s about an hour’s scenic drive to Yosemite Valley (the main visitor area). Please note that Yosemite National Park covers a vast area, accommodations inside the park typically host a maximum of 10 guests, experience more road closures during inclement weather, and offer far fewer amenities and conveniences. Oakhurst is the ideal location for guests who value comfort, space, and access to local shops, dining, and services, while remaining conveniently close to the park. 🏠Floor Plan Don't let the word "Tiny" fool you - this thoughtfully designed 400-square-foot retreat features two levels of functional luxury. 🛋️First Floor: 🍳Kitchen: A full-sized refrigerator, electric oven, range, and microwave offer all the comforts of a standard kitchen in a compact space. 🍽️Dining Area: The foldable table seats up to four and provides picturesque views through a giant picture window. 🍿Entertainment Area: Relax on the tatami floor with ultra-comfy lounge chairs and footrests, perfect for unwinding or as additional seating. Enjoy the Roku TV and stunning forest views through the floor-to-ceiling panoramic window. 👖Washer/dryer: Lazy Tiny even comes with a compact washer & dryer 2-in-1 unit, it takes several hours to do a load but gets the job done if you need to wash something in a pinch. 🚽Bathroom: A sleek, minimalistic bathroom includes a shower, toilet, and sink for your convenience. 🪜Second floor/loft 🛏️Sleeping Areas: An open-concept layout with two queen beds, spaced apart for a sense of privacy (the 2 sleeping areas are not walled off). Each sleeping area includes windows with serene views of the lush surrounding forest. The swaying branches outside create a magical, treehouse-like experience. ⚠️ Ceiling Note: The second floor has a lower ceiling height making it a cozy space perfect for bedtime chatters, however adults may not be able to stand upright here. 🌳Outdoor space: Step outside and discover an enchanting retreat: 🌟 Large Private Deck: Relax and unwind with plenty of room to enjoy the fresh forest air. 🌡️ Hot Tub: Fits 2 comfortably and up to 4 if you don't mind a little knee bumping. Retreat to Lazy Tiny and indulge in this one-of-a-kind glamping experience. Traveling with a large group? Look at our other property under my profile, a dream forest castle that houses up to 22 guests! Guest access Guests have access to the entire tiny home with the attached deck and adjacent parking area. There is also a gravel driveway that leads up to the tiny home. About 400 ft away there is another larger house that sits on the same lot as the tiny home (we are on a 4.5 acre lot). It's hidden behind a hill with dense trees blocking visibility to the tiny home. The house is being occupied separately and is off limit to guests of Lazy Tiny. Please DO NOT venture past the tiny home driveway and do not disturb the occupants in the large house. There is a locked supplies cabinet inside the tiny home and 2 locked storage units that are not accessible to guests. Other things to note Check-in is at 3pm Check-out is at 11am *Early check-ins and late check-outs may be available for a fee, depending on calendar availability. Please inquire for details (unauthorized early arrivals & late check-outs are subject to additional fees outlined under "additional house rules"). Quiet hours: 10pm to 8am IMPORTANT: Due to this being a tiny home, the size of the water heater tank is limited. Please try to keep showers under 15 mins and not take back to back showers. Try to spread out showers & activities that require hot water such as dish washing & laundry over different hours. There is a large trash bin hidden inside the cabinet next to the fridge to help save space when not being used. We accommodate up to a maximum of 1 dog under 60 lbs($35/dog/stay), exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, no other pets are allowed. Please be sure to include your dog in your reservation; it must be house trained and is not of an aggressive breed. Please do not let the dog on furniture/beds/tatami, pick up after it, and keep it ON LEASH when outside. The dog must not be left unattended in the tiny home at any time, even when caged. No burning/smoking/vaping - due to our close proximity to the forest and high risk of fire, smoking/vaping and burning of anything are strictly prohibited on the premises. Advanced detection systems have been installed and a fee of $300 may be charged for any violations. Propane firepit and BBQ grill are usable year-round. There is an exterior camera on recording 24/7. The camera is on the side of the tiny home facing the driveway. It does not see the hot tub or the deck. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding unauthorized parties, illegal behavior and allowing unregistered guests onto our property. We are on a private well that draws spring water from the mountains, as a result the water is rich with minerals which leave behind water spots that are sometimes hard to remove. You may occasionally find such spots on utensils, hard surfaces & in the toilet, rest assured that everything has been cleaned by our cleaning team. As part of mountain living, you may occasionally encounter wildlife, such as deer and turkeys, as well as smaller critters like ants, spiders, bees, and other insects. While we take every precaution, including regular professional pest control, these critters may sometimes find their way in, that's why it's extremely important to keep doors closed. If you notice any critters during your stay, please reach out to us. We do not have a mailbox at the house, so please kindly refrain from shipping or mailing anything to the property. Thank you for your understanding!
