Angel’s Envy is a private log home getaway just 8 minutes drive from downtown Blowing Rock, nestled on 10 quiet acres bordering Pisgah National Forest. Whether inside or outside, you’ll have a front-row seat to views of the Blue Ridge mountains as you look across the Johns River Gorge to famous peaks like Grandfather, Hawksbill, and Calloway. While you are close to town you’ll feel like you are miles from anywhere because you are surrounded by the forest and the mountain views without another house in sight. Whether you're planning a family trip, friends’ getaway, or just some time to recharge, this place is made for relaxing. There’s a huge open living area with a cozy fireplace and a big leather sectional perfect for movie nights on the 65" 4K smart TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of room for multiple cooks, every utensil you need, new appliances and both a Keurig and standard coffee maker for your morning brew. Enjoy your meal with friends and family around a custom-built wooden dining table that seats up to 10 people. There is another custom built large table outside on the deck for you to enjoy meals while taking in the serene mountain view. With two full floors plus a loft, there's room for up to 12 guests to spread out and unwind. The main-level king suite has a super comfy new mattress and a private bath—your own little retreat. Two more bedrooms (king + queen) share a bathroom on the same floor. Upstairs in the loft, there’s a chill spot with a desk (just in case work follows you), a couch, and more seating to hang out and a card table for puzzling, board games, or a quiet spot to read. Downstairs, you'll find a game room with ping pong, foosball, and a second living room with a big screen TV and Wii, plus puzzles and board games. There’s also a queen bedroom and a bunk room the kids (or kids-at-heart) will love, as well as a futon if you need an extra place to crash. Outside is where the real magic happens: • A big wraparound deck with plenty of chairs and outdoor dining • A lower patio with a hook and ring toss game, and relaxing hot tub overlooking the mountains—perfect for sunsets or stargazing. • A screened-in porch with cozy seating and peaceful forest vibes • A grill for those mountain cookouts • Adirondack chairs perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon cocktails • Custom corn hole boards Angel’s Envy is the perfect mix of peaceful nature, comfort, and space to gather with the people who matter most. PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: Due to the home's location, tucked away on the side of a mountain ridge, AWD or 4WD is required year-round. The last mile to the house is a single lane gravel road and the property has a steep gravel driveway with several switchbacks. In times of snow or ice, a very capable vehicle will be needed to access the home. Before arrival, guests will be sent explicit directions on how to find the house and tips on navigating the road and driveway. PROPERTY RULES: Due to neighborhood restrictions, the following are not permitted: motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, trailers, fireworks, drones, firearms or large unauthorized gatherings (parties of more than 12 people and/or more than 4 vehicles). Rules • Check In after 4pm, Check Out by 10am • Linens and towels provided. • This is not a pet friendly rental. Thank you for not bringing pets to this home. • Ten steps are necessary to access the main level from the parking area. • Owner monitors the driveway of the home with security camers, but no interior or hot tubs are monitored. • House is equipped with high-speed satellite (Starlink) internet, with speeds up to 100Mbp great for streaming (Netflix, AppleTV, Hulu, etc.) and remote work (Zoom). • Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. • No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. • No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed. Keep outside noise respectable. • Guest is responsible for any damages caused by intentional (non-accidental) actions. • Host is not responsible for items left in the home. • Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions sent by Host (property manager) within 60 days of arrival.
