Other things to note 🏡 There are several public ramps which are within a 5 mile drive from the home. Rivers Forks Park is one of those with a public ramp. 🏡 Near Port Royale Marina which has a nice waterfront restaurant, boat and personal watercraft rentals. 🏡 Deer can be spotted most evenings from the dining room bay window. Seasonal Notes 🌡️ Peak Summer Temperatures: There are three thermostats controlling the AC (main level, main-level bedrooms, and basement). The main living area can run warmer than the bedrooms and basement due to vaulted ceilings and large lake-facing windows. For better airflow, please keep the ceiling fans on during the day. During peak summer heat, the main level may struggle to stay below 74°F, while the basement and main-level bedrooms cool more easily. 💧 Fall and Winter Lake Levels: In fall and winter, the Army Corps of Engineers lowers Lake Lanier’s water levels. The floating dock is moved out to maintain year-round access, but water will be shallower and the walk to the dock may be up to 25 feet farther than in summer.
