Stunning, over 100 years old stone barn, meticulously renovated, furnished with vintage pieces, located in a peaceful village in the middle of the upcoming Slovenian wine region. The fully furnished kitchen with all amenities and dining table area is located at the entrance, while the sleeping premises (one queen size bed and day-bed sofa for 2 and bathroom with a bathtub are on the upper level in an open-space attic. Free parking, Wi-fi coverage, AC, fan, autonomous entrance and garden access. The space The kitchen with a large dining table is located on the entrance level and offers modern amenities (induction stove, oven, dish-washer, large refrigerator with freezer, toaster, rice-cooker, kettle, drip-coffee machine and Italian espresso maker (good quality coffee and tea provided in sufficient quantity). There are cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery and some cooking ingredients - whenever possible sourced locally (olive oil, home-made herbal salt, fruit-spread, etc). The stairs lead to the upper floor which is an open space attic with one 150cm large bed and a day-bed sofa that opens to a 180cm large proper bed. Japanese tatami floor mattress can also be provided by request. AC is installed in the upper floor, there is also a fan. Bathroom (with no closing doors) with a large bathtub is tucked away behind a wall that offers enough privacy. Some basic toiletries are provided (shampoo, conditioner, soap and cotton buds), there is a hairdryer and a hygienic bidet shower next to the toilet. Bath towels and linen beddings are provided, as well as extra pillows. If you stay for over 5days we will change your towels by request. There is a laundry with washing and drying machines open 7-22 everyday in a nearby town (Goriška cesta 56, Ajdovščina). Guest access You will have the barn to yourself with your own private entrance. Free (uncovered) parking is right in front of the house. My design studio is located on the ground floor, but it is closed off from the rest of the space and has a separate entrance. Other things to note This space is not suitable for small children as the open-space attic opens to downstairs with no separation walls or doors. Tourist tax in Vipava is 2,5€ /night per adult (1,25€ for children between 7-18 years of age, children 0-7 years are exempt) and is collected in cash, on arrival. This is an ideal setting for a couple or a small family, where you will recharge your energy in a beautiful and peaceful setting in the middle of a prominent upcoming wine region.
