The Sands is a dog friendly fisherman's cottage in central Seahouses, only a few minutes walk to the harbour, beach & restaurants. Private parking space suitable for a small car (parking permit for Main Seahouses carpark too). Real open fire, gated front garden area with seating. The cottage has a private membership for a local leisure club; facilities inc an indoor heated pool. We are a great base for lots of activities including the Farne Islands, Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle. The space Ground Floor Step into a charming open-plan living area that blends comfort and style. The space is tastefully decorated and features a cozy open wood fire, perfect for warming up on chilly evenings. Enjoy your favourite shows and movies on the Smart TV with Netflix or relax with a DVD on one of the two comfortable designer Joules sofas. The kitchen is a culinary delight! Equipped with everything you need, it boasts a washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and a built-in fridge/freezer with three spacious drawers. For dining, there's a lovely area that comfortably seats six, and a highchair is available upon request, making it a perfect spot for family gatherings. First Floor The first floor hosts two generous bedrooms along with the main bathroom. Room 1: Featuring a kingsize bed with a pocket sprung mattress, this room includes two bedside tables with lamps, a dressing table complete with a mirror and chair, and ample built-in storage with mirrored wardrobes for all your belongings. Room 2: Another inviting kingsize room that includes an internal built-in wardrobe, a bedside cabinet with a lamp, and a stylish mirror. The first floor bathroom is designed for relaxation, featuring a spacious walk-in shower with dual mixer settings, a toilet, a basin, and a heated towel radiator for added comfort. Second Floor Upstairs, the third room presents a unique experience. Room 3: Here, you have the option of two singles or a king-size bed upon request. This room also has a designated dressing area and an Alexa device for your convenience. The enchanting views of the sea and Farne Islands can be enjoyed through the Velux windows either side, though note that the beams add some height restrictions which may be a consideration for guests with mobility issues; more suited for children and younger adults. The second-floor bathroom offers a cozy bath with shower mixer taps, a toilet, a basin, and a heated towel rail, all within a charming space that features height restrictions around the bath area. Outdoor Space To the front of the property, a gated courtyard awaits. It features a delightful bistro-style table with four chairs and a bench, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while watching the world go by. This gated area is also secure for dogs, allowing for your furry friends to roam safely. Just a short stroll away, you'll find a beautiful beach and the harbour, making this cottage a wonderful retreat for relaxation and exploration. Parking Unusual for a town centre property, we are fortunate to offer off-road private parking space for one small-sized car at the rear of the property. In addition, we provide a parking permit for your convenience, which allows free parking at Seahouses Main Carpark, just a few minutes' walk away. This permit can also be used in other areas of Northumberland; however, please note that some restrictions may apply, and details will be provided during your stay. Other things to note The Sands has private membership for a local leisure club only a few minutes walk away, including free parking. The leisure club has facilities including indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The pool times have kids sessions and adult only times if preferred, entrance fee applies. Details provided. As well as a private parking space suitable for a small car the cottage has a parking permit which gives you free parking for the main carpark in Seahouses which is only a couple of mins walk away. This permit also give free parking to other Northumberland Carparks so great for days out.
