Rainforest House - 3rd Suite

The Rainforest House is located in the jungle - an approximately 25 minute trail hike from the main village and 15 minutes to the nearest beach. This suite is the 3rd room in the house with a full size bed and private bathroom. It is a private space in the rear of the house with rainforest and garden views. Guests have shared access to the veranda, hammocks, and garden. The space The house is located on Ilha Grande, Brazil, a tropical island paradise, 3 hours from Rio de Janeiro. The island is located in the Angra Bay and is the largest of 365 islands. The island is 60 square miles of mountain covered rainforest and 106 beaches. There are no cars, no roads just miles of hiking trails and plenty of boat trips to beautiful locales. The island is rustic but offers plenty of amenities - restaurants, shops, travel agencies, internet cafes, laundry etc. The house is located in a private area 25 minutes from the center and 15 minutes to the nearest beach. The house has incredible views of the mountains and forest as well as the bay of Ilha Grande and the dramatic Brazilian coast. It is situated on a trail to one of the most celebrated beaches in the world - Lopes Mendes. Ilha Grande is an amazing place and offers everything for adventure and nature seekers - monkeys, exotic birds, surfing, hiking, rappelling waterfalls, and more... Please note: Everything is by foot! If you have any trouble with hiking or simply don't enjoy it, you will be better off in town. You must walk 10 minutes across the town beach and climb another 15 minutes on a rainforest trail to arrive at the house. Don't forget your flashlight as rolling blackouts happen frequently (in summer, but you never know!) and you need it for the trail at night. Hot water is available in all showers. There is no wifi or internet access, but cell service is available. Our guests have a unique experience at the Rainforest House and we are delighted to provide it, but the main attraction is the secluded and gorgeous location... we use the trail as do 6 nearby houses, day or night, rain or shine..... if you have a sense of adventure, do not mind walking 25 minutes to stay at the middle of the rainforest and have a hankering for something authentic, please come! Each room at the Rainforest House has a private entrance with a private bath and the common area is outdoors, allowing for social distancing.
