Luxury penthouse with ocean view and a pool

Stay in a stunning penthouse just five minutes from Steps Beach. Relax in the comfort of a king-size bed, and savor breakfast on the spacious private terrace while enjoying breathtaking ocean views. Cook up a meal in the fully equipped kitchen, or head downstairs to grill in the outdoor bar by the pool. The pool area, shared with just one other unit in the building, offers a serene space to unwind and soak up the tropical ambiance. The space Our house stands on top of Pineapple Hill and gets plenty of fresh air from Atlantic trade winds and has a great view of the Caribbean sea. The large property slopes down to banana trees and is surrounded by lush mango trees. Each apartment has a private entrance and access to the pool and an outside bar with a grill and dining area. The best beach in Rincon for snorkeling, is the quiet Steps Beach, just a five-minute drive or a 20 min walk via a shaded jungle road. All the best beaches in Rincon are within a short drive as well. An excellent breakfast place the English Rose is a short walk away. The town center is a short drive with its bars, restaurants, and the Art Walk events every Thursday. Guest access While we are often on the property and may occasionally be around when you arrive, we typically do not greet guests in person. For your convenience, the keys to your apartment will be available in a lockbox, allowing you to check in on your own anytime after the designated check-in time. Lockbox instructions will be sent via Airbnb messages the day before your arrival. I also live just 10 minutes away if anything comes up during your stay. Other things to note Car rental is a must if you want to truly enjoy the area and visit the many beaches of Rincon and the surrounding areas. Our area is very quiet, but you'll hear roosters in the morning, a choir of coquí frogs in the evening, and sounds of eagles at noon soaring above the valley. Iguanas are frequent visitors on our land and are harmless despite their looks. Our house sits on top of a hill with plenty of wind, so we don't get many insects, but if you see some, don't mind them, they're harmless and are a part of the tropics you came to enjoy. ACs are there to provide comfort, and every bedroom is equipped with an adequate modern split system. Some common areas and bathrooms do not have ACs. The house is designed to be extremely well-ventilated and cooled naturally, as it is exposed to Atlantic trade winds sitting atop a hill. Nighttime temperatures typically drop into the low to mid-70s, providing a refreshing breeze, while daytime temperatures can rise into the 80s in the winter and 90s in the summer. The AC split systems aim to maintain a temperature of approximately 76°F in the cooled rooms. Please note that the systems are designed to provide efficient cooling but may not lower the temperature beyond this range. The pool is attended to professionally every week, it is cleaned and its chemistry checked. Our pool is a saltwater pool, it works by using a "salt chlorine generator" which converts dissolved salt into chlorine through electrolysis. Don't be surprised not to smell any chlorine, the pool is very well sanitized. The water in the showers are solar-heated, as is common in many homes across the Caribbean. We kindly ask for your patience with the hot water, as it may take some time to warm up, especially if the sun hasn’t been up long. Once the sun is shining, the water should heat up more effectively for your use.
