The surrounding area offers: Carter's Lake (20 min), Amicalola Falls (35 min), hiking at Fort Mountain State Park (25 min), Cartecay River tubing (15 min), and a dozen mountain wineries. Downtown Ellijay is 15 minutes for restaurants, shops, and the famous apple orchards. North Georgia Premium Outlets are 45 minutes away. The Coosawattee River Resort community adds resort amenities at no extra charge: seasonal indoor and outdoor pools, pickleball courts, tennis courts, mini golf, a fitness center, and walking trails. A dog park is on-site as well. Please note that the property is equipped with a Ring camera situated at the exterior of the house, actively recording for security purposes. The camera captures footage of the front driveway and parking area. Rest assured, it is configured to respect your privacy and does not have visibility into any interior spaces. There is also a trail camera situated near the deer feeder so we can see our deer friends when we are away. ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: A portion of the road leading to Buckhaven Lodge is gravel, but rest assured it is safe to drive. Our driveway is a little steep, yet it's completely manageable, and 4-wheel drive is not required for your visit. Guest access All areas of the home are accessible to you as the guest with the exception of an owner's closet, a locked laundry closet and a locked shed which are all used to house supplies for cleaning and maintenance.
