The Vacation Rental This modern and bright apartment is located in the small fishing village of Hohen Viecheln on Lake Schwerin. It is surrounded by nature and water. With 65 m² of space, there’s plenty of room for 3 people to relax. The cozy living room is equipped with satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and a sofa bed (1.60 m wide). The bedroom features a double bed (1.80 m wide) and a wardrobe. All windows are equipped with fly screens. In the large, fully equipped kitchen with a seating area, you can whip up delicious meals. The bathroom features a bathtub, separate shower, and washing machine. In front of the house, you’ll find a terrace and a large lawn. On the property, you can use sun loungers, a sandbox, and a swing. A free parking space and a bike shelter are available. The Surrounding Area Within Walking Distance Set out directly from the house on bike rides and hikes through the Döpe Nature Reserve, along the Wallensteingraben, or around Lake Schwerin. In about 5 minutes on foot, you’ll reach the beach with a large meadow by the lake. Next to the meadow, there’s a long pier, a playground, and a volleyball court. In 10 minutes, you can walk to the fisherman’s stand, which offers fresh fish, snacks, and boat rentals. You can also purchase fishing licenses there. Upon request, you can arrange boat and fishing trips on Lake Schwerin with the property owner. Surroundings, Leisure, and Attractions The state capital of Schwerin is just a 20-minute drive away. The castle, the castle gardens, and the old town with its cathedral are well worth seeing. In Schwerin, you’ll find, for example, a zoo, a TV tower, a climbing forest, a movie theater, a bowling alley, shopping centers, mini-golf, an indoor playground, a fire department museum, boat tours, and much more. The Hanseatic city of Wismar, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also just 15–20 minutes away. The harbor and the old town are well worth seeing. In about 25 minutes, you can reach the beautiful beaches on the Baltic Sea, such as Zierow, Wohnlenberger Wiek, or Hohen Wieschendorf.
