Blueberry Cottage on Nova Scotia’s Bay of Fundy

Nestled in the trees three minutes from the beautiful, ever changing Bay of Fundy's Minas Basin. Down a private Lane between blueberry fields, a quaint 2 bedroom welcomes you to unwind while rejuvenating your body and mind with beach strolls, bonfires, hiking, or just lay back and count a sky full of stars. The space We are always looking for ways to make our hideaway cozier for your visit! There is a Hide-abed in the living room that you are welcome to use if you need space for 6 people. There is extra bedding and blankets ready if I know you will be using it. There are heavy curtains between the two bedrooms for privacy, the bathroom has a door. This has only worried one couple, BUT heads up if you need a locked bedroom! All towels and bedding are supplied, including beach towels! A washer & Dryer are on site for your use. We stock the fridge with mustard, ketchup & some other condiments. There are small amounts of flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, soda & oil available and a variety of Spices. Some coffee, tea bags, some herbal & coffee whitener in case you forgot yours! If you forget anything- if we have it, you can borrow! Our Country Store has a great variety as well. All the water has a UV System. There is a Keurig available, but we only provide a couple of the pods. There is a couple of refillable pods to use with ground coffee. A toaster, drip coffee machine, kettle, electric can opener, slow cooker, microwave, and a Nikken water filter are provided for your use along with just about every pot, pan or dish you may need. We try to be sure cold water is ready in the fridge as well. If something is wrong with anyTHING, we want to know right away. There is no Internet/WIFI or Cable TV. There is internet at our place and several local businesses have access. Many Families enjoy this fact as they get to spend time to be a Family. There are a variety of movies & more at the house if needed. There is generally good cell service. Guest access Guests will stop at the yellow house beside the church before heading down the private lane to the cottage unless we have made other arrangements. This is so we can keep the area private, tell you about the danger of the tides, show you some of the hidden light switches, and answer any questions. There are games, movies and books and lots of area for you to walk in to stretch out those traveling aches. We love to hear what excites you about your travels or homes too. We ask that you check the drawers and cupboards (and under the TV - we have a variety of games there)! There are also several books available to read while with us and DVD's to use. We want to make your stay memorable, so please let us know of any special needs or problems. Other things to note We suggest you bring OLD footwear to use on the beaches, as they can be muddy and the salt water is not kind to good footwear! You need to be aware of the tides in our area- we don't want any one getting caught unawares - so ask questions and pay attention to where you and the tides are! We have several indoor and outdoor games that you are welcome to use. You are welcome to join us for bonfires, washer toss games, etc. There are Family cottages below ours and may be vehicles and people and dogs of varying ages passing by. You are also welcome to have your own fires, games, etc. We make you aware of Fire Bans when needed. Absolutely NO SMOKING or VAPPING inside so if you smoke, do it outside away from open doors or windows. The screened tent is okay to use and, if you let us know, we will have a bucket with sand ready for your butts. Also, if you use the fire pit provided- PLEASE close all doors and windows on that side of cottage. So, if you've packed your stress - come and unpack it!
