It’s perched right on Lake Superior, so you get these incredible views and cool breezes in the summer, plus it’s the gateway to the Apostle Islands (you can kayak through sea caves or take a ferry to Madeline Island). The town itself is super walkable, with charming shops, great local food, and a laid-back, artsy vibe.
