Fairbrook Manor - PA Furnace - Decorated Beautifully for Christmas & CFP
The historic Fairbrook Manor is a treasured estate, located eleven miles west of State College. Built in 1834 as a home for PA-ironmaster, John Lyon and his family, the property has a rich and diverse history over the last 190 years. In the early 1900s it served as Fairbrook Country Club. Multiple US Presidents, including Dwight D. Eisenhower and Jimmy Carter have visited and enjoyed times on the property. Over the last 80 years, it has remained within the Harpster family and is owned and managed today by Wayne & Marjorie Harpster. The family's focus is towards hosting great guest-groups. A few groups rent the Manor in spring and summer months to fly fish on the famous Spruce Creek. The Manor is 11 miles from State College. 14 miles from Beaver Stadium. With seven guest bedrooms (8 beds), and two full bathrooms, ideal group size is 6-8 guests. A full kitchen, dining room, living room with SmartTV cable, WiFi, and laundry-room make the property a comfortable stay. The front porch offers a grand setting with tables, chairs, outdoor lighting, and an outdoor grill. For groups after the December 15th, the Manor will be beautifully decorated for the Christmas season! Inside & Outside. Come have a great stay at the Fairbrook Manor.
