Sequoia: Mountainside Retreat! Seen on HGTV!

This attached studio features a private entrance and deck, with the host unit upstairs. It’s located in Alta Sierra, 20 minutes from the town of Kernville, with restaurants, shops, hot springs, hiking, the Kern River, fishing, and rafting. The seasonal Alta Sierra Ski Resort is 15 minutes away. Our backyard trail provides direct access to Sequoia National Forest (not the park), and Greenhorn Park is just 4 minutes away. The space This beautifully renovated guest unit offers a cozy, private retreat with its own entrance and deck (the owners live in the upstairs unit). The space includes a master room with a sleeping area separated by a custom floor-to-ceiling divider, a formal dining area, a living room with TV and desk, a kitchenette, and a bathroom with a rainfall showerhead and handheld sprayer. The oven-less kitchenette is equipped with electric burners, an air fryer, a sink, refrigerator, electric kettle, rice cooker, microwave, toaster, and Keurig. Outside, enjoy a picnic table with benches and two loungers—perfect for relaxing and taking in the forest views. The unit sits on 5 wooded acres with plenty of outdoor spaces to unwind, including a swing, hammock and a shared hot tub. The property is located at approximately 5,800 feet in elevation and is nestled within Sequoia National Forest, near giant sequoias such as the Trail of 100 Giants. Please note that the official Sequoia National Park is about a two-hour drive away. Guest access Guests have access to the private deck; hiking trails leading to the meditation tent, swing, and hammock; a propane BBQ; and trails that connect directly to Sequoia National Forest. Gym: Guests are welcome to use the gym located in the garage. Hot Tub: We have a shared 2-person hot tub.
