Welcome to Theatre House Farmstay. A slow, quiet home nestled among trees near Santiniketan. Here, the morning begins with birdsong, the scent of rice boiling on the fire, the warmth of early light spilling through wooden windows. There are no clocks. No television. Just a veranda, some books, the sound of your breath—a few friendly dogs and ducks keeping you company. The room is simple, clean, calm. A bed with cotton sheets. A chair by the window. Everything you need to rest, read, or write. The space Our farmstay is a quiet forest home surrounded by trees, dogs, and stillness. You’ll stay in a simple, clean room with cotton bedding, local handmade details, and soft light through the windows. Each room has: • A double bed • Table and chair • Fan (or heater in winter) • Shared or private bathroom (based on availability) • Access to the veranda and outdoor space We offer: • Home-cooked meals on request • Herbal teas, rice from our fields, seasonal vegetables • A courtyard with ducks, dogs, and fire in the evening The veranda is a perfect place to read, rest, or simply watch the light move across the trees. Guest access Guests have access to their private room, the veranda, the garden, and the courtyard. You’re welcome to walk the forest path, sit under the trees, or read on the steps. We also share our outdoor fire in the evening, and tea is always available. Kitchen use can be arranged on request. During your stay We live on the property and are happy to help if you need anything—directions, meals, transport, or just someone to talk to. We also respect silence: if you’re here to rest or write, we’ll give you all the space you need. You’re welcome to share tea, stories, or silence with us under the trees. Other things to note This is a quiet, rural home—no television, no air horns, no city rush. You may hear birds, dogs, or firewood crackling. We ask guests to move slowly, kindly, and with care for the space. The rhythm here is different. If you let it, it might become yours too.
