Little Huia Bach

Simply RELAX. Come for a stay at our treasured family bach amongst hills, bush, a stream and the beach a few minutes walk away. Slow down and take it easy in nature as four previous generations have done. The back verandah is a sun-trap throughout the year with its view through native trees to the majestic hills. Sit and listen to the stream and watch kereru, tui, piwakawaka, kotare and riroriro. The garden and backyard stream are delightful play areas for children to explore. There is no wifi. The space Cook in the well supplied traditional kauri kitchen. The cooktop has 3 gas elements and 1 electric element. We have a coffee grinder, coffee press and bakeware as well as crockery, glassware, cutlery and cooking utensils. Hand towels and tea-towels are provided. The main bedroom in the bach has a queen bed and a single bed is in the lounge nook. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and is beside the bach. It is 4 steps from the front door over a weather protected, awninged area. All beds are made up with sheets, duvets, pillows and a bath towel is provided for each person staying. Board games and books for all ages, along with an extensive DVD collection for the DVD only TV, are in the lounge area. We supply firewood between May - August for the fireplace in the lounge but we ask that you bring your own newspaper and kindling. There are portable electric heaters in the bach. Guest access You have the use of the bach, 1 outside bedroom, the garden and stream in the backyard. The family pantry in the kitchen is locked and not for your use.
