The Salt Granary Tower, 50 meters from the Apartment As you turn down Rue des Vieux Greniers, you will notice the Salt Granary Tower. Built in the 16th century, it was likely used to store salt subject to the Gabelle tax. An original architectural feature, the Tower has a distinctly medieval style overlaid with Renaissance-style decoration. Its red brick watchtower* gives it undeniable charm.
