A clean, comfortable, and convenient apartment with off-street parking nestled quietly in the heart of Portsmouth's most trendy and flourishing neighborhood. Our home is a classic, 3-story New Englander in which you will occupy a pleasant, bright, and clean first floor apartment that is quite spacious with large windows and high ceilings, and also has very comfortable and clean carpeting. Prepared with optimal relaxation in mind, the living room has a firm, queen-sized sleep sofa, and a Smart TV featuring access to Amazon Prime and Netflix programming. For dining, there are options! You might prefer being seated at the bar or the dining table. The apartment has two bedrooms that provide a cool, quiet, and tranquil resting places. In the bedrooms, there is additional seating if needed, benched for suit cases, etc, and also ceiling fans. You will find convenience in the fully stocked kitchen which features refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, teapot, and all necessary essentials for basic cooking. We provide fresh, clean white linens, towels, and bathroom necessities. Also, we believe in the serenity of living energy, so the apartment is adorned with beautiful plants too! Guests have a separate, private entrance to a first-floor apartment, located in the rear of the house. There is also off-street parking in the driveway just to the right of the apartment. Since we live on site (upstairs) we are usually around. We will be happy to meet you, although it's not a requirement. We are friendly, respectful, and approachable, so please feel free! The West End neighborhood is centrally located, quaint, quiet, and safe. We think our neighbors are really cool, and we love our community! It has a feel of being off the main path, even though it is only about a 7 minute walk from the center of downtown, where there are countless renowned restaurants, world-class shopping, local breweries, galleries, stunning harbor views, foot trails and city parks, the acclaimed Portsmouth City Music Hall and Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Prescott Park, and the historic Strawberry Bank district. There are yoga studios nearby, a gym, and even a massage studio. A short drive in one of two directions brings you to the beautiful Ogunquit and Rye beaches. (The prestigious Ogunquit Playhouse too.) You can also easily access downtown Kittery and the Kittery Shopping Malls. Being centrally located, our house is within a few minutes in walking distance to just about everything in Portsmouth, and slightly more than a block away is a Zagster community bike share hub with self-access rental bikes for use anywhere in the city. Taxis and Uber are easily called on, and the bus station is only about 2 miles away. We provide coffee, tea, and the makers too, but also understand it's a personal thing. Please feel free to bring your own as well. There's also an AWESOME local Turkish coffee shop, Cafe Kilim that is within walking distance right around the corner. For anything quick that you might need, ie beer/wine, basic groceries, and ice cream, there are 2 small local markets within a half bock in either direction of our home. Hannaford, Rite Aid, and laundry facilities are just a few blocks from us. Fuel stations and I95 are less than one mile away.
