Bring up your bicycles and hit the bike path - which end out at the Tawas Point Lighthouse. There's cross country skiing trails just a few miles away. Or just put your feet up and read a good book while you listen to the Lake Huron waves. * The week of July 4th is usually a bit noisier as the neighborhood is full of family and friends.
