Description
Take a break and unwind with family and friends in our lovely place! We built it with two things in mind: family and sustainability. It features: A spacious great room suitable for larger gatherings: 2 bedrooms with private bathrooms: a kitchenette and laundry in a common area upstairs: an upper level deck. Don’t be surprised if some of it looks old. We sourced as much reclaimed material as we could. When we don’t need all the space for our family and friends, we are excited to let you enjoy it The space Located between Reading and Lancaster, this semi rural rustic home is an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature, yet close to many urban attractions. It has easy access to US Highway 222 and interstate 76, and is situated along a biker’s route. It’s near golf courses, Blue Marsh Lake, and Berkshire Mall. It is situated on approximately 4 acres, featuring a wooded meadow with a creek. Upon entering the driveway, the house is on the left. It has cedar shake siding, with a spacious upper and lower level deck. When in season, hanging potted flowers beautify the warm welcome of the home. Inside the entry is a spacious foyer area, with a bench to sit on and a rack to hang coats. Straight ahead is the door that leads to the main living area; to the left is the stairway that leads to the second level, and to the right is the entry to the Brookside Room. The main level door enters into the great room; a very bright, well lit area with several large windows, 9 foot ceilings, and a white tile floor. On the southeast side is a living area with an area rug, couches, an easy chair, with a smart TV nestled in the corner of the room. The center of the great room has a large dining table. A door on the east side of the house leads to a basketball and pickleball court. The sink and dishwasher of the kitchen are on an island facing the dining and living area. An extended counter area here gives room for an additional eating space with 4 barstools. It is also a place where a buffet may be served. Kitchen cupboards line the walls of the north side of the great room. The fridge, stove, and microwave are new. There is an entrance to a bathroom directly from the kitchen area. There are two bedrooms on the main level of Cedar Spring Oasis. As mentioned earlier, the first would be the Brookside room. It has a private entry from the foyer; it also has an entry from the great room. It has it’s own private bath and closet. It is furnished with a queen bed, rocking chair, dresser, and twin bed. Two additional twin mattresses are underneath the twin bed. The Brookside room has a sliding glass door to the lower deck of the house. Two additional oversize windows enable the afternoon sun brighten and warm the room. It gives the awesome sensation of experiencing the outdoors-yet it’s in a climate controlled environment. The second bedroom on the main level, called the Breezeway Room, has its entry from the north side of the house, off the kitchen area. This bedroom has a sliding glass door to the main level deck, with 2 additional oversize windows that makes the room very bright and welcoming. It has a private entrance to the bathroom that adjoins the kitchen. It is furnished with a queen bed, a full/twin bunk bed, rocking chair, and dresser. The stairway in the foyer of the home leads up to a common area on the second floor, where there is a washer/dryer and a mini kitchen area. From here the is a doorway that opens to the balcony porch. To the west and south of the home is a pasture area and a creek, where guests are free to explore. Across the creek is a fire pit and picnic area that may be used by guests with permission.
