If you are looking for a getaway that is conveniently located next to the N.C. Zoo, you have found the right place! The location of this home is less than 5 minutes away from the N.C. Zoo entrance. Seagrove Pottery (known to be the pottery capital of America) is also very close by (approximately 10 minutes away). Please let me know if you have any booking questions! The space The property: *This home is set on 1 acre, and is just under 1500 sq feet *The driveway is paved and has a carport that accommodates two cars The African Zoo entrance (which connects to the North American entrance) is less than a mile away. *The master bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed, dresser, and a storage closet. *There is a pack 'n play in the closet of this room if needed. *The guest bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and dresser *The upstairs area is equipped with two twin size beds, a lounge area with its own television, and a half bath (animal books and games are also provided in this area). Since this area is designated for children, the main door and bath door do not have locks. *The downstairs area has one full bath (tub/shower combo) *A washer/dryer is available for your personal use if needed (along with an ironing board and iron) *The kitchen is fully stocked (see amenities section for details) *There are two dining tables in the kitchen (this area seats 6) *The living area has a smart tv Home Amenities: * Three coffee options available (Keurig with pods provided, pour-over, & French press) *Sugar, creamer, olive oil, and salt & pepper are on hand *Dish soap & sponge, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, and paper towels are provided *Shampoo/conditioner, and toilet paper will be provided (two towels and 2 washcloths will be provided per person). *Please know that I do leave wine for guests. If you would like for me to exclude this from the gift basket, please let me know. *Kid's dinnerware (in white cabinets), and a pack 'n play are provided (location: master bedroom) Guest access *Guest will access the home through the backdoor with a digital code (contactless entry). Please access the home through the backdoor only (as this is the only entry point that is keyless) *You will have the entire home to yourself (aside from one locked supply closet for the cleaners) *Both front and back entry points have a few steps and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues Other things to note Pet Policy: No pets are allowed on the premises. Zoo Proximity: If you take a left out of the driveway, you will reach the African Zoo entrance in approximately 3 minutes (which connects to the North America Entrance). Seagrove Pottery is also very close by with a variety of pottery areas to tour. Additional Rules: Please make sure to read this section. *All guests making the reservation must be 21 years old or older. You cannot make a reservation for someone else *No smoking or vaping indoors *No parties or events are allowed *Any attempt to disable the entry camera may result in eviction (without refund) *Only 6 guests are allowed, and any additional guests may result in a fine. If there is a serious extenuating circumstance that requires an additional guest, please be sure to contact me through Airbnb. Please keep in mind that this rule is mainly in place so the cleaners do not have to manage extra work. They work on a tight schedule, and this is one of many homes that they clean regularly. *Failure to adhere to the house rules may result in a fine of $300 Late/Emergency Cancellations: *Please understand that guests will not be reimbursed for non-refundable bookings due to weather related issues, family emergencies, or other changes related to travel plans. Again, please be sure to add Airbnb’s travel insurance if you feel you might cancel for any reason. *As a host, please understand that I cannot be held responsible for any accident on the premises. Lost personal belongings are also not the responsibility of the host (although, I will certainly try to return lost items if they are found by the cleaning crew). Guest Checkout: As a guest, I do not expect you to gather or wash linens, wash dishes, or take out the trash. *Leave dirty dishes in the sink or dishwasher. You are free to start a load of dishes in the dishwasher if you’d like, but this is not a requirement. *If you used any cooking device (such as the crockpot) please leave it out on the counter so the cleaners can do a thorough clean. *Please lock all doors upon your departure
