Meiamù: in the old town with a terrace overlooking the sea

Meiamù (which in Ligurian means "my love") is a newly renovated two-room apartment in the charming and lively historic center. Consisting of a living room with an open kitchen and a large bedroom (double and single bed), it is perfect for 2-3 people but can accommodate up to 4 thanks to the sofa bed in the living room. Going up 10 steps you can access the beautiful terrace equipped with a mini-kitchen, deck chair and shower. Beautiful views of the rooftops and the sea, which is about 350 meters away. ATTENTION: Third floor: 50 steps without an elevator. The space Meiamù-La voce del mare is located in the historic center of Bordighera, an ancient village that has remained intact over the centuries but lively and pleasant thanks to the numerous clubs and excellent restaurants. The accommodation (about 35 square meters plus a large terrace) consists of a living room with a kitchenette and sofa bed and a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. In the bathroom, there is a sink with a bowl, a shower with a large shower head, and a toilet with a bidet shower. The apartment is on the third floor without an elevator, and to reach it you have to climb 50 steps: it is therefore only suitable for people in good shape without walking problems. Leaving the apartment and climbing another 10 steps you will arrive at the terrace for exclusive use equipped with a mini-kitchen, washing machine, refrigerator, table, deck chair, shower and storage room. Here you can relax, sunbathe or dine under the stars while looking at the roofs of the old city, the sea and the profile of the Côte d'Azur. Guests have access to air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite system and foreign channels, wifi with fast connection (from 200 to 300 mega), a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Guest access The apartment is in the small and charming historic center of Bordighera. Here the houses are tower-shaped, that is, they develop vertically: our accommodation is on the third floor and you will have to climb 50 steps to reach it, to get to the large terrace you have to exit on the main staircase and climb another 10 steps. A hundred meters from the house you will find a large parking lot that is partly paid and partly free (6-hour parking disc in summer from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., completely free in other seasons). Generally, you can find a place without any problems, but there may be some difficulties in August and on summer Saturday nights. The sea can be reached on foot with a short walk (downhill going and obviously uphill coming back). For the arrival, we do not recommend heavy and bulky suitcases, with which it would be difficult to tackle the long and sometimes narrow staircase of the house: it is better to divide the luggage into lighter and more manageable backpacks and trolleys. Other things to note The Municipality of Bordighera requires the payment of a tourist tax. The tax (1.50 per day for the first six days of your stay, excluding children under 12 years of age) will be collected during your stay.
