Boonackere Cottage, a rural retreat close to Ghent

Experience the countryside, near Ghent. A romantic cottage, formerly a cottage for the farmers on the 18th century "Boonackere". Stay 11 km from the center of Ghent, in the rural Landskouter, enjoying views of the rolling countryside at the gateway to the Flemish Ardennes. There is an entrance hall with a separate toilet, spacious cloakroom, a washing machine and dryer. From this entrance hall, there is access to 2 spacious bedrooms with en-suite private sink and (walk-in) shower. One of the rooms has a separate desk corner. In this room, you can choose a made-up double bed or 2 separate single beds (please mention when booking). The other bedroom has a queen size bed. A baby cot can be placed here (on request). The entrance hall opens onto the spacious living room with open kitchen. The sitting area is located by a cozy (electric) fireplace under the old oak beams. There is underfloor heating and cooling throughout the house via floor with heat pump (no classic air conditioning with active air cooling). The living room gives direct access to the south-west facing garden with terrace and covered lounge area. There is an electric barbecue available in the fully fenced garden. Small slide for children up to 6 years old. This garden gives you complete privacy. There are also 2 private parking spaces for your cars. The house is located in the picturesque Landskouter, at the gateway to the Flemish Ardennes but only 11 km from the center of Ghent, easily accessible by car or train. Train station within walking distance (1.5 km). Many hiking and biking trails pass by this house, including the bunker route. Nearby are some restaurants and terraces and local producers of ice cream, cheese, etc. Enjoy the tranquility in this beautiful setting in all comfort.
