Stay in the historic center with Mitsi a playful 2-year-old male cat. He’s kind, friendly and keeps the house safe. He wakes up early, eats his breakfast from the dispenser, enjoys playing and naps.He is a little thief so food needs to be stored to avoid him stealing a snack.Responsible animal lovers are preferred, as Mitsi’s well-being and safety are important. He’ll be your furry friend, offering protection and company while you enjoy your stay The space The house, built in 1919 with great care and love, remained in the same family until 2023, when I had the privilege of taking it over. My goal was to preserve the beauty and charm of its history while updating it for modern living. I’ve added all the comforts of today, including a dishwasher, washing & dryer machines, AC, and other modern amenities. The property consists of two private apartments, each featuring two bedrooms, a living room, and a fully equipped kitchen. In addition, there’s a separate bedroom with its own bathroom, apart from the apartments. The only shared space between these areas is the entrance door and hallway, ensuring privacy for each apartment. The apartment in this listing is on the ground floor. Please note that this is a traditional Azorean building with a wooden structure. Although we used soundproofing materials during the renovation, the sound insulation is not perfect, and some noise may carry. For this reason, the house is best suited to guests who are calm and respectful of quiet hours. If you enjoy late-night gatherings or louder activities, this may not be the ideal place for you. If you appreciate a peaceful environment and are mindful of noise, we are confident you will have a wonderful stay. Guest access The apartment on the ground floor includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen. You ll have access to everything, including our condiments in the kitchen, our books and our Netflix profile to try to make you feel like home, far away from home. The garden is an amazing place to relax and starting your day with a coffee there is the perfect way to enjoy the morning before exploring the island. Other things to note Since this apartment is my personal place and will be rented with Mitsi, I’d love to chat with you first before your stay. The house has a few simple rules, mostly based on common sense. I don't allow parties and you’ll need to be careful about storing food—Mitsi the cat will try to steal anything he can (he once even tried to take a pastel de nata!).
